In Greek mythology, the titans were a race of powerful deities who ruled the world before the Olympian gods. One of the most well-known titans is Cronus, the ruler of the titans and father of Zeus. According to the myth, Cronus and his fellow titans were overthrown by Zeus and the Olympian gods in a great battle called the Titanomachy. As punishment for their rebellion, Cronus and his brothers were thrown into the pit of Tartarus, deep within the underworld. In his anger and despair, Cronus cast a curse upon his fellow titans, vowing that they would suffer eternal torment for their betrayal. This curse would ensure that the titans would forever be imprisoned in Tartarus, unable to escape or seek revenge.

Now that Disney+ has picked up the Percy Jackson series, I figured I would continue the fan-casting of the series! Let me know your picks before I complete the fan-cast!
In Titan’s Curse, we meet a lot of new characters. Some demigods, parents, Olympians, Titans, and of course, more monsters. We also see the brewing fight evolving even more between Olympians and Titans. We see Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia team with the Hunters of Artemis, although technically Percy follows them since boys are not allowed. They also help two demigods, Bianca and Nico, to Camp Half Blood, the former joining the Hunters and trio on their latest mission.

Okay so technically all the Olympians make a cameo in the end of this book as they are holding a council about, well, what to do about everything. We see Ares and Athena even vote for Percy’s death. It’s also a pretty big moment as Thalia joins the Hunters of Artemis, which would prevent her from turning 16 and therefore would make her not of the Great Prophecy, leaving Percy again as the only possibility (until a few pages later…).
