Fire damages Magic Fountain ice cream store in Summit

SUMMIT -Early Saturday afternoon, two members of the Summit Fire Department and their department vehicles, yellow police tape, plywood on sections of the roof and a pile of debris covered by a tarp at the back of the Magic Fountain on Morris Avenue let passers by know that there was a fire at the landmark business.

On the far side of the building, family members talked quietly and used their cell phones. They declined to comment on the fire, which broke out sometime after 7 a.m.

Curiosity-seekers drove in and out of Lowell Avenue and past the ice cream store.

The Magic Fountain at the corner of Lowell Avenue and Morris Avenue in Summit was damaged by fire on Saturday, April 11.

The Summit Fire Department responded to the Magic Fountain on Morris Avenue after a report of smoke coming from the building was received at 7:47a.m. on Saturday, April 11. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire and it was declared under control at 8:39 a.m.

"Our firefighters made a quick stop and were able to effectively knock down the fire," said Summit Battalion Chief Paul Imbimbo. "Although heavy damage was done to the storage and attic areas, and smoke and heat damage were evident throughout the building, there were no reported injuries to residents or firefighters. It is anticipated that the Magic Fountain will be closed for a significant period with the amount of damage caused by the fire."

In the afternoon he was talking to Battalion Chief Guida and both men agreed that losing the Magic Fountain even for part of the season will be a major loss to not just the city but also the surrounding towns. The store had opened for the season a few weeks ago.

Summit Fire Department was assisted at the scene by Millburn Fire Department. Summit headquarters was covered by New Providence, Mountainside and Fanwood Fire Departments.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by members of the Summit Fire Department investigation team with the Union County Investigation Unit.

Fire mafic and ice ceeam

It is a popular dessert choice to cool down on a hot summer day or simply as a delightful indulgence. Ice cream comes in various flavors and textures, ranging from classic vanilla to exotic flavors like mango or matcha. The coolness of the ice cream can provide a refreshing sensation that helps counterbalance the spiciness of the fire mafic. When fire mafic and ice cream are combined, the result is a unique and tantalizing blend of flavors and sensations. The contrast between the hot and cold elements creates an intriguing culinary experience. The spiciness of the fire mafic enhances the flavors of the ice cream, creating a more complex and exciting taste profile. The coldness of the ice cream, on the other hand, helps soothe the heat from the fire mafic, creating a pleasant balance. This combination can be enjoyed in various forms, such as fire mafic-infused ice cream or ice cream served alongside fire mafic. For example, a popular dessert option is to serve a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a drizzle of hot fudge sauce, providing a contrast between the cold and hot elements. In conclusion, fire mafic and ice cream might be two opposites in nature, but they create a delightful and intriguing combination when merged together. The spiciness of the fire mafic enhances the flavors of the ice cream, while the coolness of the ice cream helps balance out the heat. This unique blend of flavors and sensations provides a memorable culinary experience for those brave enough to try it..
