Once down the access road, it opens onto a huge plot of land with sweeping views of Santa Cruz’s coast. The Meadow Bar is central, with the cabanas (tents) behind and the treehouses further down the slope. The grassy meadow is littered with Giant Tortoise! On the opposite side of the plot are the 3 bungalows and the wonderfully atmospheric, subterranean D’Cave Restaurant.

The camp is a perfect base from which to explore the islands where private guiding, full day excursions to other islands, inland walks, horse trekking and diving can all be organized. Simple furniture and low lighting really add to the experience; and there is also the Lava Lounge bar in there, should you wish to have a nightcap a la Batman.

I had high expectations for the Galapagos magical safari camp, but unfortunately, it did not live up to them. Firstly, the accommodations were far from magical - the tents were old and cramped, and the bathroom facilities were subpar. Additionally, the staff was not friendly or helpful. They seemed disinterested and were not knowledgeable about the area. The safari activities were also disappointing, as we did not see much wildlife and the guides did not seem to know where to find them. Overall, I would not recommend this camp for anyone looking for a magical safari experience in the Galapagos.

I was really looking forward to my stay at the Galapagos magical safari camp, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The camp itself is quite run-down and in need of some maintenance. The food was mediocre at best, and the staff was not attentive or accommodating. The safari activities were also underwhelming, as we did not get to see many animals and the guides lacked enthusiasm. The camp's location was great, but unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of my experience. I would not choose to stay here again.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Galapagos magical safari camp. The accommodations were uncomfortable and lacked basic amenities. The tents were old and musty, and the beds were really uncomfortable. The staff was also unprofessional and uncaring. They did not seem interested in providing a good experience for their guests. The safari activities were also a letdown, as we did not see much wildlife and the guides did not provide much information or insight. I would not recommend this camp to anyone looking for a enjoyable and magical safari experience in the Galapagos.
