It made it really difficult to stay engaged with the story. Additionally, the sound effects were distracting and didn't add much to the overall experience. I much prefer reading the books myself and creating my own voices and imagination.
2. Chris - 1/5 stars - I couldn't stand the Magic Tree House audio. The narrator's voice was annoyingly high-pitched, and I found it really grating on my ears. The excessive use of sound effects was also overwhelming and often drowned out the narration. It felt more like listening to a chaotic radio play rather than a soothing audiobook. I wouldn't recommend this audio version to anyone.
