I have always been fascinated by magic and the art of illusion. As a young child, I would watch magicians perform incredible tricks and wonder how they were able to make things disappear and reappear right before our eyes. I was determined to learn the secrets behind these tricks and maybe even perform some of my own someday. I spent hours reading books and watching videos on magic tricks, learning about different techniques and the psychology behind them. I practiced card tricks and sleight of hand, perfecting my moves until they were seamless and undetectable. I became known among my friends as the "resident magician", always ready to perform a trick or two at parties or gatherings.

The Thoth feast is a celebration of Thoth, the Egyptian God. Thoth was the scribe for gods and humans alike. He recorded everything from history to stories to songs.

As part of the festivities, horse races were held throughout the empire, and draft animals-oxes, donkeys, and mules-were dispensed from work and decorated with flowers. Pomona was a popular minor Roman goddess often known as the goddess of apples. Her day is celebrated on August 13th.

Then, with a swift motion, I would make it vanish into thin air, much to the amazement of my viewers. But the real magic came when I would make the object reappear in the most unexpected places. I remember one instance where I made a coin vanish from my hand and reappear inside a sealed envelope, safely tucked away. The astonishment on people's faces was priceless. For a brief moment, I felt like a true magician, capable of defying the laws of physics and performing the impossible. It was an exhilarating feeling, knowing that I had the power to bring joy and wonder to others through my own magic tricks. But as I grew older, my interest in magic started to wane. I became more focused on other hobbies and pursuits, leaving behind the world of illusion and wonder. The tricks I once mastered slowly faded from memory, replaced by new skills and passions. However, every now and then, I find myself revisiting my old magic tricks, like an old friend from the past. I dust off my deck of cards and practice the sleights and maneuvers that once came so naturally to me. And with each trick, I am reminded of the joy and excitement it brought me as a child. I may not be a professional magician, but the magic in my life is not completely gone. It may not be the disappearing and reappearing act that captivated audiences before, but it is the magic of finding joy in the simplest of things – a sunset, a good book, or a heartfelt conversation with loved ones. In a way, my own magic is a reappearing act. It may have disappeared for a while, hidden beneath the layers of adulthood and responsibilities, but it always finds a way to resurface when I need it the most. And in those moments, I am reminded of the childlike wonder and curiosity that still resides within me. My own magic reminds me that, deep down, we all have the power to create moments of awe and enchantment – whether through a simple card trick or a genuine act of kindness. So, even though I may never step on a grand stage to perform feats of illusion, I know that I will always carry the magic within me. And who knows, maybe one day, I will pass on my love for magic to someone else, inspiring them to find their own brand of enchantment in this vast and mysterious world..
