For myself, “Up on Poppy Hill”—that was like an experiment for myself in trying to tell a story through a very average everyday life. The acting and the performances were very restrained. From there, I was very interested in how we can make the characters act and perform in these animation films. That was when I discovered 3DCG. People always talk about the camerawork and effects and photo-realism, but I was more interested in the possibility it had in expanding the acting and performance and characters and what we could bring out in each character.
In addition to magician's kits, Melissa and Doug Magic offers individual magic tricks that can be purchased separately. These tricks range in difficulty and often require kids to already have some basic knowledge of magic to perform them successfully. The Melissa and Doug Magic line is not only designed to entertain children, but also to help develop their cognitive and motor skills. Magic tricks require children to think critically and problem-solve as they figure out how to execute each trick. It also helps improve hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they manipulate props and perform precise movements. Overall, Melissa and Doug Magic provides children with endless hours of fun and entertainment, while also fostering creativity, imagination, and important developmental skills. Whether a child is an aspiring magician or just looking for a new and exciting way to play, the Melissa and Doug Magic line offers something for everyone..

1. Jane - 2 stars - I must admit, I was quite disappointed with the Melissa and Doug Magic set. The tricks included are very basic and not impressive at all. The props provided are cheaply made and break easily, making it difficult to perform the tricks properly. Furthermore, the instructions provided are not very clear, making it even harder to understand how to execute the tricks. I would not recommend this magic set for anyone looking for a quality and entertaining magic experience.
2. Mark - 1 star - I regret purchasing the Melissa and Doug Magic set. The tricks are poorly explained and not engaging at all. The props are flimsy and appear to be made of low-quality materials. The only impressive thing about this set is the price, but in this case, you truly get what you pay for. I would advise against wasting your money on this magic set and instead invest in a better-quality set that provides clearer instructions and more exciting tricks.
3. Sarah - 2 stars - I was excited to get the Melissa and Doug Magic set as a gift, but my excitement quickly faded. The tricks included in the set are very basic and not at all impressive. The props are cheaply made and easily breakable. The instructions provided are also quite confusing, making it difficult to understand how to perform the tricks correctly. Overall, I found this magic set to be quite underwhelming and not worth the money. I would recommend looking for a different magic set if you're looking for a more enjoyable and entertaining experience.
