Thank you to My Magic Carpet for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own. I love the cozy feel that area rugs give a home. I enjoy the soft feeling under my feet and the visual interest that area rugs provide. To me, area rugs are like an accessory that pulls the room’s outfit together. What I don’t love about area rugs is the fact that they collect hair, dust, debris, and other things I don’t want to think about. I went through the assortment of area rugs offered. I chose three 5×7 area rugs, one for each of the interior/exterior doors of our home. (Please ignore the door trim. 1. Jane - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with the My Magic Carpet Washable Rug. The colors looked vibrant and beautiful in the pictures, but in person, they were dull and faded. The material also felt cheap and thin, not like a rug that would hold up to regular use. Additionally, the rug had a strange smell when I first opened it, and even after airing it out for several days, the odor still lingered. Overall, I would not recommend this rug to others.
2. Mark - 1 star - This rug is a complete waste of money. I purchased it because of the "washable" feature, but after the first wash, the colors faded significantly and the rug lost its softness. It also shrank quite a bit, making it look misshapen and awkward in my living room. The quality of the rug is very poor, and I regret buying it. Save yourself the trouble and spend your money on a better quality rug.
3. Sarah - 2 stars - I had high hopes for the My Magic Carpet Washable Rug, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The design was not as detailed as I had hoped, and the overall look of the rug was quite bland. It also didn't lay flat on the floor, no matter what I tried. I even tried adding a rug pad underneath, but it still had wrinkles and lumps. The rug also lacked durability, as after just a few weeks of use, it started to show signs of wear and tear. I won't be purchasing this rug again.
