I recently purchased the Mr Clean Magic Eraser roller mop and wanted to share my feedback on the product. Overall, I found the mop to be extremely effective and practical for my cleaning needs. The main feature of the mop is the Magic Eraser, which is a sponge-like material that helps to remove tough stains and marks. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked on my floors. The Magic Eraser easily removed scuff marks, dirt, and grime without requiring too much effort. This was a major plus for me as I often struggle to get rid of stubborn stains.
Thought to be built sometime between 1620 and 1642, it was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin (1640–1718) who investigated and presided over some of the Salem Witch Trials. The house is the only structure still standing in Salem with direct ties to the witch trials of 1692.
Citizens collected 42,000 for the relocation of both the Witch House and neighboring Bowditch House, the former residence of the founder of modern maritime navigation. Corwin was appointed to replace Judge Nathaniel Saltonstall for the Court of Oyer and Terminer, with Saltonstall resigning from the court after the execution of Bridget Bishop.
This was a major plus for me as I often struggle to get rid of stubborn stains. The roller mop itself was also very convenient to use. The handle is long enough to comfortably grip, and the mop head swivels, making it easy to maneuver around furniture and tight corners.
The Witch House of Salem
The Salem witchcraft trials took place between February 1692 and May 1693. More than 200 people were accused, 59 were tried, 31 were found guilty, and 20 were executed. Those final unfortunates were hanged, and one man was crushed to death while being tortured.
Among the judges who convicted the witches (based on “spectral evidence,” evidence based upon dreams or visions) was Jonathan Corwin. As a local magistrate and civic leader, Corwin was called upon to investigate the claims of diabolical activity when a surge of witchcraft accusations arose in Salem and neighboring communities. He took the place of Judge Nathaniel Saltonstall, who resigned after the execution of Bridget Bishop. Corwin served on the Court of Oyer and Terminer, which ultimately sent nineteen to the gallows. All 19 refused to admit to witchcraft and maintained their innocence.
The Witch House, as it is now known, was his home and is the only structure still standing in Salem, Massachusetts with direct ties to the Salem witch trials of 1692. The house was bought by Judge Corwin in 1675, when he was 24 years old, and he lived there for more than forty years. Corwin is buried in the nearby Broad Street Cemetery. The house remained in the Corwin family until the mid-19th century.
Today the house is a museum focusing on 17th-century living. It’s one of the last remaining links to a time in American history when people were hanged because they supposedly inflicted pain by the use of “venomous and malignant particles, that were ejected from the eye.”
Know Before You Go
If you're visiting Salem during Samhain, better known as Halloween or anytime in the month of October, get there early (even during the week). One does not simply get a parking space for any length of time.
The Witch House was marked by the witch hunt, permanently touched by his intolerance. The “Corwin Curse,” too, marks the Witch House. With eight Corwin lives lost to premature death, this “Historic Home” has testified to tragedy, terror, and tall tale. The Witch House was even uprooted and relocated, mystifying an already mysterious two-and-half-story home.
The mop head is also replaceable, which is great for future use. The only drawback I found was that the Magic Eraser wore out quite quickly. After only a few uses, I noticed that it began to disintegrate and became less effective. This was a bit disappointing as I had hoped it would last longer. Nevertheless, I still believe that the Mr Clean Magic Eraser roller mop is an excellent choice for anyone looking for an efficient and easy-to-use cleaning tool. Its ability to remove tough stains and dirt is commendable, and the convenience of the mop itself is a major plus. I would highly recommend this product to others, despite the slight issue with the durability of the Magic Eraser..

1. Sarah - ★☆☆☆☆ - I was really disappointed with the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Roller Mop. I found the mop head to be too small, making it difficult to cover a large surface area efficiently. Additionally, the eraser itself wore out way too quickly. After just a few uses, it started to disintegrate and became useless. I ended up having to constantly replace the eraser, which ended up being very costly. Overall, I do not recommend this mop as it did not live up to its promises.

The mop head was not very absorbent and left streaks on my floors rather than effectively cleaning them. Additionally, I found it challenging to push the mop smoothly across my floors, as it had a tendency to get stuck on uneven surfaces. Overall, I was not impressed with this mop and would not purchase it again.
3. Lisa - ★★☆☆☆ - I have mixed feelings about the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Roller Mop. While it did a decent job of cleaning small messes and stains, it struggled with larger spills and grime. The eraser wore out quickly, and it was not easy to replace. I also found the handle to be flimsy and somewhat difficult to maneuver. Overall, I expected better performance from this mop, and I'm not sure it's worth the price.
4. Michael - ★☆☆☆☆ - I regret buying the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Roller Mop. It did not live up to the hype at all. The eraser barely made a noticeable difference on my floors and required a lot of effort to clean even the smallest stains. The mop head constantly fell off during use, which was incredibly frustrating. I ended up throwing it away after just a few uses and invested in a different mop that actually works. Definitely not worth the money.
