The Witch Hunter book is a novel written by Virginia Boecker that was published in 2015. The story is set in an alternative 16th century England, where witchcraft is illegal and anyone found practicing it is burned at the stake. The protagonist, Elizabeth Grey, is a young woman who is a witch hunter for the King's Inquisitor. She is dedicated to her cause until one day, she is accused of being a witch herself. As Elizabeth fights to prove her innocence, she is joined by a band of misfit allies who help her uncover a conspiracy within the kingdom that threatens not only her life but the very fabric of society. Along the way, Elizabeth also learns about the truth behind her own past and the power she possesses.

CARNIVAL MAGIC

The' Carnival Magic' discharged soot from it?s Exhaust Gas Control Systems (EGCS), into the water on Nov 1, 2023, after a brief power outage, while preparing to depart the pier in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands. Crews started a clean-up after the incident. The vessel's departurew as delayed from 6p.m. to 8.30 p.m. An investigation was held to determine how the power failed and which systems were affected.

Passenger stabbed on board

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has opened an investigation into the stabbing of a passenger aboard the 'CarnivalMagic' on its return voyage to Norfolk, Virginia, in the night of Oct 20, 2023, when the ship was on the return leg of an eight-day cruise to Canada and New England. The victim was stabbed by a fellow passenger who attacked them with a bar glass. The incident was described as a stabbing. The condition of the victim, as well as the severity of the wounds, was not yet known, but they were treated by the medical team aboard the ship. The passenger who stabbed the other was confined to their room and permanently banned from sailing on any other Carnival cruise ships in the future. A security team member should have sat outside the room. Federal investigators and local law enforcement were contacted to investigate the incident and boarded the ship once it arrived in Norfolk in the morning of Oct 22. The company was fully cooperating with the investigators.
