By admin

"The Curse of the Headless Horseman" Legend has it that deep within the dark and mysterious woods of Sleepy Hollow, a curse haunts the land. This curse is embodied by the fearsome figure of the Headless Horseman, a spectral entity whose mere presence sends shivers down the spines of all who encounter him. The tale of the Headless Horseman begins with the legend of Ichabod Crane, a humble schoolteacher who arrived in Sleepy Hollow to teach the children of the town. Ichabod was a lanky and superstitious man, always intrigued by stories of the supernatural. One fateful autumn night, as he made his way through the winding roads of Sleepy Hollow, he encountered the terrifying sight of a headless rider on a black horse. This rider was none other than the Headless Horseman, a former Hessian soldier who lost his head during the Revolutionary War.

Possibly one of the weirdest voiceover narrations ever and since that pronouncement is coming from me, the person who now only has 98 70's horror movies left to go, you know it must be true

Once there the group of hippie stoners are haunted by a headless horseman who rides around the ranch splashing blood at people from his severed head collection. Towards the end of the film, Mark suddenly decides that they should get married immediately and they are married by the local Justice of the Peace in the church at the western theme park.

Curse of the headkess horseman

This rider was none other than the Headless Horseman, a former Hessian soldier who lost his head during the Revolutionary War. According to the legends, the Horseman roamed the woods searching for his lost head, ready to unleash his wrath on whoever crossed his path. It is said that if the Horseman caught a victim, he would decapitate them, leaving no trace behind.

CURSE OF THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN (1972) - DVD

A bunch of burn-out young people end up turning an old ranch that one of them inherited into a Woodstock-scene. A headless horseman haunts the ranch and is looking for heads. So low-budet it'll make you cringe. It's now being added the the triatholon of horror: BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS, THE CREEPING TERROR and MANOS - HAND OF FATE. It can ride side-by-side with this level of cinema. You need to be pretty brave to tackle this. Truly, exquisitely bad.

Reviews for "The Dark Side of Sleepy Hollow: The Headless Horseman's Reign of Terror"

1. John - 2 stars - "I found 'Curse of the Headless Horseman' to be quite disappointing. The storyline lacked depth and originality, and the characters were one-dimensional. The acting was also subpar, with stiff and unconvincing performances. Additionally, the special effects were mediocre at best, failing to create a sense of terror or suspense. Overall, this film failed to live up to the classic tale of the Headless Horseman and left me feeling underwhelmed."
2. Sarah - 1 star - "I couldn't stand 'Curse of the Headless Horseman'. The plot was predictable and cliché with no surprises or twists. The actors seemed disinterested and unmotivated, delivering their lines with a lack of emotion. The visual effects were laughably bad, especially during the supposed action sequences. The whole film felt like a cheap attempt to capitalize on the Halloween season without any substantial creativity or effort. I would not recommend wasting your time on this film."
3. Michael - 2 stars - "I was highly disappointed by 'Curse of the Headless Horseman'. The screenplay failed to capture the essence of the original legend, leaving me unsatisfied. The pacing was uneven, with slow and uninteresting scenes dragging on while the supposed thrilling moments felt rushed and lacking in tension. Additionally, the dialogue felt forced and unnatural, further detracting from the overall enjoyment. I had high hopes for this film, but sadly, it fell short of expectations."
4. Emily - 2.5 stars - "While 'Curse of the Headless Horseman' had its moments, it ultimately failed to deliver a truly captivating experience. The storytelling was disjointed, making it difficult to follow the plot and connect with the characters. The lackluster performances from the cast didn't help either, as they failed to bring any depth or charisma to their roles. Although some scenes showed potential, the overall execution fell flat, leaving me feeling underwhelmed. I would suggest exploring other adaptations of the Headless Horseman tale instead."
