From one fabulous brownie recipe, a bakery was born. Fat Witch’s edible inventory now includes 15 varieties and counting. She has cast a spell on taste buds around the world, and welcomes sweet teeth near and far into her store inside NYC’s Chelsea Market.
Fat Witch turns old-fashioned recipes into modern day irresistible treats for the gourmet palate. She bakes from scratch, in small quantities, and with natural ingredients available in supermarkets. You can make your own “witches” at home using witch mixes and a brownie cookbook.
In addition to their brownies, the bakery also offers other delicious treats. Their Blondie bars, which are a lighter and chewier version of their brownies, are a fan favorite. They also have a selection of cookies, including chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin, that are baked to perfection.

editor says:Thanks, Sandra! Well, you can buy our brownie mix online and then swirl in some softened to room temperature cream cheese using a fork. We have our own kind of version (cream cheese in the middle) in our first cookbook if you’re up for baking your own!

Do not place them near a source of heat, such as electronic equipment or a window that gets sun or a space with excessive moisture. In the refrigerator they will last 7-21 days depending on the efficiency of your refrigerator. You can put them in the freezer and they will last up to 3 months, depending on the efficiency of your freezer. We suggest storing them in zip-lock bags. Some people like to eat them straight from the freezer without thawing. At our store inside Chelsea Market, we also have unwrapped Witches. These stay fresh 1-2 days. You can also refrigerate or freeze. We suggest storing unwrapped Witches in a plastic wrap and/or zip-lock bags.
