Sydney says:

Kind of crazy actually. I just started watching Glee and I’m hooked. Absolutely love it. I know the scandals and the deaths and all that but this was always a “watch someday” show. Glad I am now and I will watch this ID special too.

Neil says: I find it odd no one from the actual cast appeared to be interviewed in the trailer. Lynne says: Its my understanding that none of the cast or Ryan are even involved in the documentary. Tina says: This doesn’t seem right, it’s rubbing me the wrong way GHD says:

Probably because it’s imbuing Glee with a sense of woefully unearned importance.

And implying that there’s some sort of Hollywood curse associated with the show.

This… and the ID sensationalism of it all. I wonder if they will ever dare to talk in depth about Mark Salling and the people he was associated with. You know they’re still out there and there are many children who will not be able to talk about this for many years (and someone will say “Why talking now?” by then).

The trailer hints that the families and friends of the three actors will talk about their lives and the impact of fame. "In May 2009, 10 young actors made their TV debut on Glee. By 2020, all of them would be famous. And three of them would be dead," reads the text in the clip.

Reviews for "From Choreography to Conjuring: The Dance of Glee Spells"

1. Emily - 1 star
I was really disappointed with the "Glee Spell Documentary." As a huge fan of the show, I was excited to learn more about the behind-the-scenes magic that made it so special. However, what I got was a poorly made documentary that felt more like a cash grab than an actual informative piece. The interviews were shallow, the editing was choppy, and it lacked any substantial content. It felt like a missed opportunity to truly delve into the world of "Glee" and its impact on popular culture. Overall, I found it to be a waste of time and a letdown for dedicated fans.
2. John - 2 stars
While I appreciate the effort put into creating the "Glee Spell Documentary," I can't say I enjoyed it. The documentary had a scattered narrative that failed to provide any real insight into the show and its impact. It felt disjointed and lacking in substance. The interviews lacked depth, and the constant focus on showcasing the stars' personal lives rather than the show's production felt like a missed opportunity. As a fan hoping for a comprehensive exploration of the series, I left feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
3. Sarah - 2 stars
As a dedicated "Glee" fan, I was excited to watch the "Glee Spell Documentary," but it left me feeling underwhelmed. The documentary lacked focus, jumping between different aspects of the show without providing much context or analysis. The interviews with the cast members felt superficial, and it seemed like the documentary was more interested in presenting a biased and exaggerated narrative rather than an objective exploration of the show's impact. Overall, I was left wanting more depth and substance from this documentary. It felt like a missed opportunity to truly celebrate the brilliance of "Glee."
