Houseplants: Can ship to California and Arizona. How to Plant

STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.

Care Guide

To help crape myrtles retain water, mulch with organic matter 2-3 inches deep, making sure to keep mulch a few inches away from the trunk. Water regularly until established. Remove dead branches any time and prune weak branches back in the spring in order to encourage a strong and productive tree.

Reviews for "Lagerstroemia Plum Magic: The Photogenic Plant for Instagram-Worthy Gardens"

1. Sarah - ★☆☆☆☆
I was really disappointed with Lagerstroemia plum magic. I bought it based on the colorful photos on the packaging, but the actual plant didn't look anything like that. The blooms were few and far between, and the colors were muted and dull. It didn't really add any charm or visual interest to my garden like I hoped it would. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a vibrant and eye-catching plant.
2. John - ★★☆☆☆
I planted Lagerstroemia plum magic a year ago, and it has been nothing but a hassle. It requires constant pruning and maintenance to keep its shape, otherwise, it just looks like an untamed shrub. The flowers also didn't last very long, and they started falling off after just a week or two. I had high hopes for this plant, but it's been more trouble than it's worth.
3. Emma - ★★☆☆☆
Lagerstroemia plum magic didn't live up to its name. I was expecting a show-stopping display of plum-colored flowers, but instead, I got a few sparse blooms that were more pink than plum. The plant itself also seemed a bit weak and struggled to grow. I followed all the care instructions, but it just didn't thrive in my garden. I've had much better luck with other varieties of Lagerstroemia, so I won't be purchasing this one again.
