Part 20: Viper Manor Revisited

The element shop has upgraded plenty since your last visit, so it would be a good idea to take a look if you didn't get anything from Guldove (Home) earlier. If you bring your Zappa to see this world's Zappa in the weapon shop, they will discuss the possibility of forging Rainbow equipment together, but their hammers are not up to par with such a task yet.

Denadorite gear can be forged. Now is an excellent chance to upgrade your weapons and armor before leaving the Smithy.

Head to the Bar (Left of the Item Shop). Inside, you will find the Bar empty; head to the back and talk to the bartender, and he will open a secret passage to the left where he's standing. Head inside to see Karsh and Zoah. After a bit of dialogue, you'll receive the Tear of Hate and also get a chance to have Karsh or Zoah join your party. It is recommended that you take Zoah to get his Lv. 7 Tech Skill in the manor; however, note that you will get the other one later. Swap Zappa for Zoah and leave Termina.

Attempt to leave Termina, and Norris will stop you. After the dialog, Norris will do a double-take at his doppelganger before leaving.

Before leaving for Viper Manor, put Van and Funguy in your party and go back into Termina. Have Funguy talk to himself in the back of the Item Shop. Head to Van's house and speak to his father downstairs and Van, who is upstairs in his room.

Now it's time to head to Viper Manor. Make sure to place Zoah and Norris back into your party.

The rumors of magical practices escalated when the locals discovered a hidden cellar underneath the manor. It was rumored to be the birthplace of Thornwood's black magic rituals. The cellar was said to be filled with ancient spellbooks, cauldrons, and various objects associated with witchcraft. Over the years, adventurous souls ventured into Lonely Barrel Manor in search of answers and thrills. Many claimed to experience unexplainable phenomena and felt a malevolent presence lurking in every corner of the manor. Some even reported being cursed or haunted after their visit. Despite the intimidating tales, some skeptics dismiss the legends as mere fantasy and exaggeration. They argue that the hauntings and supernatural events can be explained by natural phenomena or the power of suggestion. To this day, Lonely Barrel Manor remains an enigmatic and intriguing place. Its dark past continues to captivate the imaginations of those who dare to explore its haunted halls. Whether you believe in the tales of black magic or not, there is no denying the allure and mystique that surrounds this legendary manor..
