Get the Most out of Your Nintendo Switch with the Magic ns adapter

By admin

Magic ns adaptr is a device that allows users to connect and play their Nintendo Switch games on any TV or monitor. It is a small, portable adapter that can be easily plugged into the USB-C port of the Nintendo Switch. Once connected, it transforms the handheld device into a full-fledged gaming console. The Magic ns adaptr supports both wired and wireless gaming modes. In wired mode, users can connect their Nintendo Switch directly to the TV or monitor using an HDMI cable. This provides a lag-free gaming experience and allows players to enjoy their favorite games on a larger screen.

I contacted Mayflash about adding Wii Remote motion controls to the adapter in a future update, but they said that motion controls for the Wii Remote weren t compatible with the adapter. The Mayflash Magic-NS controller adapter lets a Wii Remote connect to the Nintendo Switch. You can also use the nunchuck and classic controllers with it and the vibration works.

I want to use the Wii Remote to play Super Mario Galaxy in Super Mario 3D All-Stars, but it doesn't work because it requires motion controls. The Magic-NS isn't detecting the accelerometer in the Wii Remote or the gyro in the Wii Motion Plus attachment. (I would assume that the accelerometer wouldn't work well as a pointer anyway.) I contacted Mayflash about adding Wii Remote motion controls to the adapter in a future update, but they said that motion controls for the Wii Remote weren't "compatible" with the adapter. They either meant that it isn't possible, or that it wasn't compatible at the present.

So, to get to my question, is it possible to mod the Magic-NS to use the Wii Motion Plus? I assume any bluetooth module would be able to support the Wii Motion Plus. If so, could a software mod be installed over the latest firmware, or could the latest firmware be altered? I was hoping that the users who contributed to the Dolphin Emulator Wii Motion Plus implementation may be able to help due to their experience with the Wii Remote tech.

I don't know if it's possible, but more importantly I know no one has done anything like that with the Magic-NS (or the 8bitdo USB adapter). My question though is why not just buy a Bluetooth adapter that can already do what you need? I've personally had good luck with the Ugreen 4.0 adapter and Bluetooth passthrough

When you said you had good luck with that adapter, what did you mean?

Are you saying that I would be able to use Wii Motion Plus motion controls with the Nintendo Switch by using this Ugreen adapter?

Ah I'm sorry, I read your post too fast and misread it. I saw Super Mario Galaxy and since this is a forum for the Dolphin emulator I thought you meant you wanted to play that game in Dolphin. So what I meant was, I've had good luck using that adapter in Dolphin, specifically with Bluetooth Passthrough.

I think you are out of luck for using a Wiimote on a Switch with motion control, unless maybe your Switch is modded.. If you have a modded Switch, there's a homebrew app called MissionControl that allows you to use other controllers natively. This includes Wii U Pro controllers, Xbox One controllers, PS4 and 5 controllers, as well as Wiimotes. The current latest version 0.7.0 mentions this:

Quote: Support for motion controls was added for Dualshock4, Dualsense, and Wii MotionPlus controllers.

Now I've never used this program myself so I don't really know how this works exactly, but as far as I know this might be your only option.

Reviews for "Achieve Gaming Greatness with the Magic ns adapter for Nintendo Switch"

1. Jack - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with the Magic ns adapter. I had high hopes for it, but it just didn't perform as well as I expected. The connection between my Nintendo Switch and my TV was constantly dropping, and it was really frustrating. I also found the adapter to be quite bulky and cumbersome, making it difficult to use in portable mode. Overall, I don't think it's worth the price and I would not recommend it.
2. Emily - 1 star - I regret purchasing the Magic ns adapter. The setup process was a nightmare and it took me way too long to get it working properly. Even then, the connection was incredibly laggy and unstable. It was almost unplayable. I also experienced frequent audio issues, with the sound cutting out randomly. Save yourself the trouble and look for an alternative adapter. This one just doesn't deliver on its promises.
3. Alex - 2 stars - The Magic ns adapter did not meet my expectations at all. The build quality felt cheap and flimsy, and I was worried it would break easily. The connection between the adapter and the Switch was unreliable, leading to frequent disconnections during gameplay. The lag was also noticeable, making it difficult to have a smooth gaming experience. I ended up returning it and opting for a different brand. Don't waste your money on this one.
