I first came across Mr. Clean Magic Erasers one summer while vacationing on the French River in northern Ontario. We are friends with the owners of one of the cottage resorts on the French River and one week they were a little short on cleaning help, so we pitched in.
Much to my amazement, the cleaning staff used Magic Erasers and they loved them! It’s kind of funny, now that I think back on it, because sitting in my linen closet at home was a box of Magic Erasers that I had never even opened.
I was reluctant.

Since then, I’ve used Mr. Clean’s Magic Erasers on all sorts of things. In fact, sometimes I find myself cleaning something, like my Pyrex baking dishes, and then wondering, “Hmmm, I wonder if the Magic Eraser can clean that?”

1. Laura - 1/5 stars - I was really disappointed with the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. I had seen all the commercials and heard so many positive reviews, but it just did not live up to the hype for me. I tried using it to remove some stubborn scuff marks on my walls, and while it did remove them, it also left behind a weird residue that was even harder to get rid of. I also found that the eraser started to disintegrate after just a few uses, making it quite expensive for something that doesn't last long. Overall, I was not impressed with the Mr Clean Magic Eraser and would not recommend it.
2. John - 2/5 stars - I had high hopes for the Mr Clean Magic Eraser, but I was left disappointed. While it did work decently well for small stains and marks, it struggled with tougher stains. I tried using it to clean some soap scum in my bathroom, and it just wasn't effective. I had to put in a lot of effort and scrub for a long time to get any results. Additionally, the eraser seemed to wear out quickly and disintegrate after just a few uses.
