Star Magic Batch 1 refers to the first batch of talents who were launched under the Star Magic, formerly known as ABS-CBN Talent Center, a Filipino talent management and development division of ABS-CBN Corporation. This batch was formed in 1992 and is considered to be one of the most successful and influential batches in Philippine showbiz history. Star Magic (formerly ABS-CBN Talent Center) is the training and management subsidiary of ABS-CBN Corporation, designed to train young talents in the Philippines, including their acting, personality development, and physical enhancement before being cast in televisions shows and films.
Wanting to establish a stable platform for aspiring stars exclusively for the network, then ABS-CBN executive vice president and general manager Freddie Garcia founded Talent Center together with then program director Johnny Manahan. During its early years, the Talent Center’s project was Ang TV, where stars such as Paolo Contis, Jolina Magdangal, and Claudine Baretto gained popularity.
Thousands of aspirants joined the audition, but only a few dozens were able to join the program. As a result, the Talent Center continued its search through the launching vehicle Star Circle in 1995.

I found Star magic batch 1 to be quite underwhelming. The performances lacked depth and the storyline was disjointed. I expected to be captivated by the talent and charisma of the actors, but unfortunately, they fell short of my expectations. The film seemed rushed and poorly executed. Overall, I was disappointed with Star magic batch 1 and would not recommend it.

Star magic batch 1 was a complete waste of time for me. The acting was amateurish, and the dialogue felt forced and unnatural. The plot was weak and predictable, too. I couldn't connect with any of the characters and found myself constantly checking the time, hoping for the movie to end. I regret spending my money on this film and would advise others to avoid it.
