The magic of Plantui Light blocks

Plantui gardens provide plants the best light for their growth.

The lights in the “hat” of the garden are the main source of light and thanks to the patented technology they change while the plants grow.

But the hat is not the only source of light, light blocks are indeed great accessories for giving extra light to the garden!

They function as normal height blocks, giving more space to the plants and giving a signal to the hat to change light and/or irrigation, but they also bring extra light to the plants, from the inside, supporting the plant to grow bigger, stronger, healthier and more beautiful!

In this way the beautiful round design, which even won the RedDot award, becomes also functional!

There are 2 different light blocks: boosting and blooming.

They look pretty similar to each other from human eyes, as they both use red and blue light, but don´t let that fool you, the plants “see” light colours better than us. For this reason the light blocks not only give extra light but also specific signals for plants growth and development.

The Boosting light block is enriched in blue light, which is important for biomass production, making plants stronger and leaves thicker and crispier. This light is ideal to be used in crowded gardens, where the top leaves shades light for the lower one. Adding an heigh blocks at the bottom of the garden ensures that all the leaves get enough light! Herbs, tomato and chilli thrive when the boosting light is added.

Moreover the blue light supports root formation to make sure your plants grow strong roots, so the light can be used also when pre-growing your sprout before the summer!

The Blooming light block is enriched in red light, which supports blooming flowers and ripening of fruits. This light is ideal for edible flowers, tomatoes, chilli and any other fruits/vegetable grown in the experimental capsules, to make sure the plants produce more flowers/fruits and make them faster.

The table below shows a boosting vs blooming specs, to help choosing the best light depending on the plants in the garden:

Boosting Blooming
Why? Bigger and stronger plants Supports blooming and ripening of fruits
Which plants? Herbs, tomatoes, chilies Edible flowers, tomatoes, chilies
When? When the garden starts to be crowded / tall When the first buds appear
Where? As the lowest height block in the device At the same height as buds / flowers / fruits
Light? Enriched in blue Enriched in Red

As you can see, some plants like tomatoes and chilies can use both light blocks, usually boosting on the lower part and blooming on the upper parts.

You can use max 2 light blocks in your garden and if you need extra space for tall plants make sure to use more standard height blocks.
