Magic shaving powder didnt work for me, i don't know what else I can try

So I've always had an issue with body hair, and I've always used a razor to remove my hair. I did have an electrical razor I used to trim my leg hair the first time I shaved my legs, but otherwise used manual. My issue is that the back of my legs and my ass have pretty sensitive skin, and they were very succeptable to getting bad razor bumps after shaves, even with treatment using lotion, exfoliation, and moisturising. I tried out some Nair hair removal cream about 8 months ago, but I got chemical burning on my butt and legs.

I learned since Nair was not the best be and, and the one usually quoted was magic shaving powder. I checked I got the right stuff, and it's unfragranted and supposed to prevent ingrown hairs. So I've tried this (correctly, to my k owl edge. Complete 1:1 ratio, did two runs, first on the bottom of my legs for 5 minutes with no negative effects my inadequate results, and one for 10 minutes everywhere. It did a good job of removing the hair, and I did get a small patch of ingrown hairs on my thigh, but I could sort that out quickly. However, a week later I started coming out with more spots on my butt and back of my legs similar to the marks I got from using nair.

Which means, quite simply, I think depilatory cream may be out of the question, unless there are some other alternatives similar that I could use. I just want to get rid of my hair without the spots coming up. I've heard of laser hair removal, but I'm unsure of the price, and if it's even possible to get that sort of treatment for places like my butt.

The one thing I will add is I do shave against the grain, as I can't get myself smooth enough without doing so. I currently use lubricated razors and swap out for fresh blades often, and shave after a long shower or bath. I don't get spots that often on other places it's mostly just the butt and the back of my legs just beneath my butt, so other manual shaving tips on top of this would be amazing :)
