On the holy night of the year, a witch appears, adorned in a cloak of darkness. Cackling with a mischievous gleam in her eyes, she floats through the air, bewitching all who cross her path. With every creak and crackle of the night, she casts her spell upon the world. As the moon shines brightly, the witch's powers grow stronger. She dances among the shadows, summoning spirits and conjuring spells that only a true master of the dark arts could perform. With each flick of her wrist, the air is filled with a magical aura, enchanting all who witness her breathtaking display.

Mahōtsukai no Yoru was one of the first collaborations between Kinoko Nasu and artist Takashi Takeuchi in the mid-90s, preceding their founding of Type-Moon . Initially a novel, Nasu and Takeuchi only showed the draft to friends and did not officially release it. Reviews for "The Witches' Sabbat on Holy Night in English Folklore"

1. John - 2/5
I was really excited to watch "Witch on the Holy Night English" as I had heard so many great things about it. However, I was incredibly disappointed with the movie. The storyline was confusing and hard to follow, and there were so many characters that it became overwhelming. Additionally, the dialogue felt forced and unnatural, making it difficult to become emotionally invested in the characters. Overall, I found "Witch on the Holy Night English" to be a letdown and not worth the hype.
2. Sarah - 3/5
I had high expectations for "Witch on the Holy Night English" but unfortunately, it fell short for me. While I appreciated the animation and the visual aesthetics of the movie, the plot was lacking depth and originality. It felt like a rehashed version of other fantasy films I had seen before. Moreover, some of the voice acting felt quite robotic and took away from the overall experience. Despite these shortcomings, the film had some moments of charm and had the potential to be better with a stronger storyline.
3. David - 1/5
I really disliked "Witch on the Holy Night English". The characters were cliché and lacked development, making it hard to connect with any of them. The pacing was extremely slow, and I found myself losing interest in the story halfway through. The dialogue also felt cheesy and forced, taking away from the immersion. Overall, I would not recommend this movie to anyone looking for a captivating and well-written fantasy film.
