I've had these Pentair Magic Bowls installed for three years now. Anyone have any ideas on how I can stop the paint from peeling? It's not limited to just the water surface area. As you can see it is even peeling off the top area where there is no water. It's worse where there is water contact.

My guess is that is pretty normal for being outside in the sun. My only suggestion would be to routinely keep it painted.

What did Pentair have to say about it.

Thanks for the reply. I sent information to Pentair to try to get this covered under warranty. They came back with the statement that it's not a warranty issue. The product manager claims it's caused by excessive chlorine (putting a chlorine tab in the bowl) or some other chemical being used on the bowls. I've never cleaned them with any chemicals and I absolutely have never put a chlorine tab in the bowls. That still doesn't explain the peeling area where there is no water. So I'm at a loss.

Take the bowls out of service and let them dry out. Mask off the valve. Use a stiff wire brush to scrub off loose or peeling paint. Vacuum and clean up debris. Find a matching color and texture of Rustoleum paint and repaint the bowl where the old paint peeled.

As @Jimrahbe said, 3 years out in the harsh sun and heat will destroy most things. Here in southern AZ we have a saying that outdoor living products will always last half as long as the manufacturer claims and cost twice as much. Sun, heat, UV, water and chlorine is pretty much a recipe to destroy anything.

The Black Spell Curse was disappointing. I was really looking forward to a thrilling and mysterious storyline, but instead, I found it to be predictable and unoriginal. The characters lacked depth and I couldn't connect with any of them. The writing style was also quite monotonous and failed to create any suspense or excitement. Overall, it felt like a wasted opportunity for a captivating supernatural tale.

I regret reading the Black Spell Curse. The plot was incredibly convoluted and confusing, making it difficult to follow along. The pacing was also all over the place—it moved too slowly at times, while rushing through important details at others. The dialogue felt forced and there were several grammatical errors throughout the book. I was hoping for a gripping and engaging read, but unfortunately, this book fell flat in every aspect.

The Black Spell Curse didn't live up to its promising premise. The plot was filled with clichés and lacked originality. The characters were stereotypical and their actions felt contrived. The overall pacing was slow, with unnecessary scenes dragging the story along. The writing style was average at best, with the author failing to create a captivating atmosphere. It's a shame, as the concept had potential, but the execution left much to be desired.

I found the Black Spell Curse to be a disappointing read. The story lacked depth and the characters were one-dimensional. The narrative was disjointed and confusing, with jumps in time and perspective that were hard to follow. The writing style, although competent, failed to immerse me in the story and I struggled to maintain my interest. Overall, it felt like a wasted opportunity for a truly engaging and memorable supernatural thriller.
