This urban legend, known as the Curse of Bloody Mary, has terrified countless individuals throughout the years. The origins of this legend are shrouded in mystery, with variations of the story existing in different cultures around the world. One version tells the tale of Queen Mary I of England, also known as Bloody Mary, who gained her gruesome nickname due to her brutal persecution of Protestants. The game starts well, inside a cave, makes you wonder why you are here and where you are but then the problems start. First of all, you are supposed to go down a hole by traversing down to the lower rocks. The problem is, if you jump, you will get fall damage, if you just walk out of the platform, you might still get fall damage. My first death was here, because I jumped on the first one, and just let myself fall on the following ones, but when I reached the ground, I guess I had suffered too much damage. Is this supposed to make the player seem fragile from the get-go? If so, fair enough, it’s not really a big complaint, but it just adds to the list.

As she was burning, she set a curse upon the villagers and told them that if they ever dared to utter her name in a mirror, she would be back for them her spirit would return to wherever they summoned her from to exact her revenge. Different re-tellings of the story offer different versions of the tale, with some imagining Bloody Mary quite literally dripping in blood when she appears behind you, others telling of her dragging you away if you turn around to look at her in person as well as more macabre tales that talk of violent murders and blood pouring from taps.
