I granted magical powers to the wrong person. There's an old saying that goes "with great power comes great responsibility." And never has this phrase felt truer than when I granted magical powers to the wrong person. It all started innocently enough. I was a powerful sorcerer, responsible for guarding an ancient relic that held immense magical abilities. But as time passed, my loneliness grew, and I yearned for someone to share my knowledge and power with.

The art style is also a very good strong point. In casual scenes there are moments when a character loses their temper, and the detail, and sometimes over-exaggerated expression that are use are either scary or hilarious, based on the emotion being shown—Kayo’s face can get pretty terrifying. But when the fight scenes happen, that’s when the art is at its best. There’s extra emphasis when Kayo sends her fist flying into an enemy, forcing them to go through the walls of a building. Seeing the crater left behind in an enemy’s head and the destructive power of what they’re capable of is very well detailed; of course, that if they manage to live through Kayo’s fists and heel kicks.

Across the first few chapters, we are introduced to a small cast of characters who each have a unique personality that either provides comedic relief, helps establish the overall story, or even helps add to the dramatic and over-the-top fight scenes.

I read a fantasy novel years back. I honestly don't remember much of the plot (it was SEVERAL years back) but I remember the magic system that was used. It was possible for an individual to grant portions of their physical and/or mental powers to another person. For example, a person could grant his/her sight to someone else and spend the rest of their life blind (or with exceedingly poor vision) while the recipient would see twice as well as anyone else. In the book there were whole cities devoted to enhancing the nations army, or a specific person, etc. Anyone have a thought what this book or series is?

He was eager to learn about the mystical arts, and I saw great potential in him. Naively, I thought that by giving him a taste of my powers, I could bring joy and fulfillment to his life. Our battle shook the very foundations of our world, causing destruction and chaos wherever it touched. In the end, I realized the gravity of my error. I had come to understand that power alone does not define a person. It is the values and integrity they hold that truly matter. By granting magical powers to someone who lacked these qualities, I had unleashed a force that was destructive and unstoppable. From that moment on, my mission became clear. I dedicated my life to righting my wrongs and preventing further harm. I sought out individuals who, despite their ordinary appearance, held extraordinary inner strength and character. Through rigorous training and education, I nurtured these individuals into powerful sorcerers, but only after ensuring their values and intentions were aligned with the greater good. As the years passed, I became wiser and more cautious. I learned to use my powers judiciously and only bestowed them upon those who had proven themselves worthy. It was a painful lesson, but one that I needed to learn. In the end, I can only hope that my actions will serve as a reminder for all sorcerers and magical beings. Before granting powers to others, we must thoroughly evaluate their character and intentions.
