The Secret of the Magic Gourd is a tale that explores the themes of humility, gratitude, and the power of self-improvement. Through movement exploration, dancers reach progressive levels of physical skill development and are taught the vocabulary of dance, as well as the pioneers of modern dance. Exploring the creativity and imagination of childhood, dancers have the opportunity to improve, engage in creative problem solving and grow in cognitive, social and emotional ways as they interact in class.

Southwest Dance Company is the exclusive children’s creative, modern dance studio in St. George, UT since 1982. Our faculty members have many years of experience teaching modern dance. The focus of our dance studio is to instruct your dancer in children’s creative, modern dance. Our dance curriculum is created for age-appropriate dance instruction for each individual age group.
