Lectra-motive cleaner can be sprayed into the motor while it's running, so if you go that route, make sure you remove the props or you'll cut yourself.
You might want to spray some of the cleaner in a small container and verify if it attacks the Phantom plastic.

FlyGirl, It comes from having to figure stuff out for myself. My old boss liked to dump special projects into my lap and just say, figure it out. When I came back the following day with a solution, he'd scratch his head, then comment, what took so long? It kept me gainfully employed for quite a few years.
