MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Magic Springs Theme and Water Park is opening up for the season, Saturday, May 22, 2021. The park in Hot Springs, Arkansas has a variety of rides, a concert series, family events, and even parts of the park you can rent out privately for your party.

“So we have two different locations that we’re using, one is Capone’s Celebration Station is what we’re calling it, so it’s an indoor facility that’s air-conditioned and the second is our Chiller Pool, so you can get access to our Chiller Pool privately for two hours,” says Michelle Keeney, the park’s Marketing and Sales Director.

She says they’re opening up a little later this year than normal, but they’re excited to hit the ground running with their concert series. Last year, she says they weren’t able to have as many concerts due to the pandemic and they had to put a lot of social distancing guidelines in place.

“I think they’re all excited to actually get back out there and perform, that’s what they want to do, they want to be in front of their fans,” says Keeney. “We have Christian, rock, country, our first show we kick off with Crowder June 5th.”

They’ll have concerts running from June all the way to September.

And they’ve got family-friendly events planned for July.

“We’ll have our dive-in movies, we have those on Friday nights in July so we show a family-friendly movie over the wave pool,” says Keeney. “And then we also have a cool experience on Mondays in July, it’s Meet a Mermaid Mondays, and so at 1 and 4 o’clock at the wave pool we have some action mermaids that’ll swim in the water and the kids get to meet them.”

Keeney says masks are optional at the park, but encouraged indoors. She says you can buy tickets at the door, but they’re cheaper if you buy them online ahead of time.

“We do encourage everybody to go online, take advantage of the discount tickets that we have on our website, they’re ten dollars off if you pre-purchase before you come to the park, and also if you’re planning to come a couple of times, a season pass is the best value, you can come as many times as you want to throughout the summer all of the concerts and events are free with a season pass,” says Keeney.

This year, they’ve got a new mobile-ordering feature at three of their restaurants to cut down on wait times.

Reviews for "Experience the exhilarating rides of Magic Springs with the family package"

1. Emily - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with the Magic Springs family package. The rides were old and rundown, and there weren't many options for younger kids. The lines were incredibly long, and the staff didn't seem to care about the visitors at all. The food options were limited and overpriced, and overall it just felt like a big waste of money. I definitely won't be returning.
2. Ryan - 1/5 - I had high hopes for the Magic Springs family package, but it was a complete letdown. The park was overcrowded, and there were no safety measures in place to control the crowds. The rides were outdated, and most of them were closed for maintenance. The water park section was dirty and the water quality was questionable. It's clear that the park is not properly maintained and it's just not worth the money or the hassle.
3. Sarah - 2/5 - I wouldn't recommend the Magic Springs family package. The park was dirty and in need of a renovation. The staff members were rude and unhelpful, and the food options were limited and expensive. The rides were not properly maintained and some of them even had safety issues. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I would choose a different amusement park next time.
