Magic Springs is a popular amusement park located in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The park is known for its thrilling rides, water attractions, and live entertainment shows. In order to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, Magic Springs has implemented a comprehensive gag policy. The gag policy at Magic Springs aims to ensure that all visitors are treated with respect and that offensive or inappropriate behavior is prohibited. This policy is in place to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for everyone who visits the park. Under the gag policy, guests are not allowed to engage in any behavior that may be considered offensive, disrespectful, or disruptive to other individuals.
All Guests must meet minimum height and all other safety requirements of each attraction. These safety requirements are posted at the entrance to each ride. Safety is our number one priority. In some situations, Guests may not be permitted to board a ride in the interest of personal safety or the safety of other Guests and employees. Guests must be able to utilize all safety restraints and devices as designed by the manufacturer and must have the ability to maintain the proper upright riding posture throughout the ride’s duration. This includes but is not limited to hands on handlebars, feet on floor, and a proper upright riding posture.
In these situations, special access entrances are available to accommodate the mobility impaired and other disabilities These special entrances are generally the ride exit. As we continue to monitor this evolving situation, we have put in place increased sanitization protocol and will continue to follow the guidance of federal, state and local health agencies.
Under the gag policy, guests are not allowed to engage in any behavior that may be considered offensive, disrespectful, or disruptive to other individuals. This includes using offensive language, making derogatory remarks, or displaying inappropriate gestures or actions. Any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination is strictly prohibited.

Face masks will be optional for guests visiting Magic Springs. We continue to encourage you to wear a mask while indoors or when social distancing from other guests outside your group is not possible. Vaccinations are still being generously administered and the public is more educated about masks. Magic Springs continues to encourage everyone to get vaccinated and wear masks if they desire.
In addition to verbal communication, the gag policy also extends to clothing and accessories worn by guests. Offensive or explicit language, images, or symbols on clothing or accessories will not be permitted within the park. This ensures that all visitors are comfortable and can enjoy their time at Magic Springs without feeling offended or uncomfortable. Guests who fail to comply with the gag policy may be asked to leave the park. Magic Springs reserves the right to refuse entry or eviction to anyone who violates the policy. The park's security personnel are trained to enforce the gag policy in order to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all guests. As someone who loves to enjoy delicious food and snacks at amusement parks, I found it absurd that I couldn't enjoy my meal without being forced to wear a gag. It made me feel uncomfortable and took away from my enjoyment of the day. I understand that safety is important, but this policy just seemed excessive and unnecessary.

However, I found the gags to be very uncomfortable and restrictive. It was difficult to enjoy my food and drink properly while wearing them. I believe there could be better alternatives to ensure hygiene without compromising the overall experience for patrons.

It interfered with the fun and relaxation that I was looking forward to. Magic Springs needs to rethink this policy if they want to keep customers happy and coming back.
