Have you ever played tic tac toe? It's a simple game where two players take turns marking Xs and Os on a 3x3 grid. The goal is to get three of your marks in a row either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. It's a game that's been around for centuries and has been enjoyed by people of all ages. But what if there was a twist to this traditional game? What if there was a magical tic tac toe board that could change the rules and add a new level of excitement? The picture can be easily replaced but it needs a bit of tender love and care. However you do need a bit of time in privacy (for me it takes about 10 minutes or so).

Our visual system works like a “comparative computer”. In fact, we never see colors in isolation, as the appearance of any color is affected by the colors surrounding it. So, under certain conditions, colors that are identical may appear different, while colors that are different may look the same. In our visual system there is a mechanism that enhances the contrast of the outline of an object relative to its background: it is called “lateral inhibition”.
Thus, even small differences in brightness between adjacent zones, or objects, are deliberately increased by our visual system and the brain to better distinguish them. But something strange happens when the brightness boundaries of the color zones are concealed: the cues the brain needs to trigger the lateral inhibition no longer exist and consequently we become blind to variations in color brightness, as shown in the animated gif.

The supposed "magic" of the board was nothing more than basic LED lights that lit up in random patterns. It was not impressive or engaging at all. Additionally, the board itself was flimsy and poorly made. The buttons were unresponsive and the game would often glitch or freeze. Overall, I found this product to be a complete waste of money and would not recommend it to anyone.
2. Jonathan - 2/5 stars - I found the Magical tic tac toe board to be quite underwhelming. The concept is interesting, but the execution fell short. The LED lights were not as bright as I had hoped and the game itself lacked any real challenge. The AI was too easy to beat and the game play quickly became repetitive. The construction of the board was also subpar, with the buttons feeling cheap and the overall design feeling flimsy.
