The Language of Witchcraft: Monty Python's Witch Comedy

By admin

Monty Python's witch comedy is a classic and beloved piece of comedic entertainment that showcases the absurd and hilarious humor of the Monty Python comedy troupe. The witch comedy sketch, famously titled "The Ministry of Silly Walks", is a prime example of the Python's satire and wit. In this sketch, John Cleese plays the role of a government official who works at the fictitious Ministry of Silly Walks. He interacts with various characters, including a fellow office worker, played by Michael Palin, who seeks a grant to continue his research on ridiculous walks. The absurdity of the situation is highlighted by the seriousness with which the characters approach their work. The main idea of this sketch is to poke fun at bureaucratic institutions and their sometimes pointless and nonsensical regulations.

With a simple wipe , it cleans lime, mold, soap residue, rust, greasiness and so on. Ideal non-slip handle is designed for comfortable grip, allowing easy wipe.

The main idea of this sketch is to poke fun at bureaucratic institutions and their sometimes pointless and nonsensical regulations. The Ministry of Silly Walks serves as a metaphor for such institutions, where the employees are tasked with coming up with ideas and regulations that are ultimately pointless. The witch component of the comedy comes into play when a witch, played by Terry Jones, enters the scene.

You've tried vinegar and water. But it only left smears so visible your windows looked worse after you cleaned them, than before. In fact, you've tried it ALL, and now you've decided those herbal-gerbil cleaning nuts (like me) must be crazy!

But you haven't tried everything. Not until you try this one last recipe. I'm telling you, this is THE one, the magic potion, the answer to your window cleaning dreams!

You don't believe me? Just wait. This recipe contains just the right mix of ingredients, all of which you probably already have in your pantry or medicine chest. Plus, one secret ingredient you may never have thought to include when cleaning glass, mirrors--basically anything you would use a store-bought window cleaner on. (Speaking of which: I'm betting you'll decide those store-bought brands are mud, compared to today's magic potion).

But the best part? The best part is, you can make this glass cleaner for under .50 cents a bottle. That's about one-eighth the cost of a bottle of store-bought glass cleaner!

Interested now? Good. Prepare to be amazed. Seriously.

Here's what you'll need: 1 cup white vinegar 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol 2 1/4 cups water 1 tablespoon cornstarch (trust me)
To mix: Using a funnel, pour everything into a 32-ounce bottle and shake until mixed.
To use:

Shake, spray and wipe with a clean dry flour-sack towel (or any cloth, but you might be surprised at the results after using a flour-sack towel.) Enjoy your sparkling clean glass! It's the cornstarch that's the secret ingredient here. Who knew? (Okay, maybe your grandmother, but now you're in the know too!)

Want a fun way to LABEL your cleaning products? Try these premium chalkboard labels. They'll stay put on your cleaner bottle, and they come with a liquid chalk marker that's smudge proof, but easily erasable for quick re-labeling.

Let's chat...Do you plan to give this one a try? Have another favorite cleaning recipe you want to share? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below.

I like that you named it window shine! It's quite a fun name, and works for what it does. I only hope I can properly replicate this magic potion of yours! Reply Delete

Thank, Tom! This window cleaner is very easy to make. I've used it for a year now, and love it. I use it anywhere you'd usually use Windex. Just be sure to shake the bottle gently before each use to stir up the cornstarch from the bottom so it won't clog the uptake tube. Also, after cleaning a surface, wipe it with a clean DRYrag to finish (flour sack towels works wonders). You'll be amazed how well this really does make glass and other surfaces shine. I usually just rubbing alcohol as well! I never would have though to mix vinegar and cornstarch. Would you suggest to warming it up a bit for those hard to get off stains?

Hi Kate! I have had very good luck using this without needing to heat it up. I use this cleaner on windows, granite counters, my stove, and any other surface you would normally use a commercial glass cleaner. Works great! Delete

Something else that we do it to take a dryer sheet and rub it along them after they are clean, this will help repel the dust until next time. blog car 2016

Fantastic cleaner. I think the alcohol makes it streak-free and perhaps the cornflower adds a slight abrasive element to it. Reply Delete

I tried this magic potion today but I think I might have done something wrong. My windows streaked really bad. I can see why it shines because it did through the streaks. Can you tell me what I could have done wrong? Reply Delete

I even bought the flour sack towels you suggested. Did the cornstarch not dissolve enough? Delete I even bought the flour sack towels you suggested. Did the cornstarch not dissolve enough? Delete

Hi Lenore. I really can't say why your windows streaked, based on the limited information you've given me, but here are a couple things to consider. First, did you you wash the flour sack towels before using them? Brand new un-washed towels will often have a chemical residue on them that could smear your windows. Also, did you shake the contents of the cleaner before applying it? You need to shake it to disperse the cornstarch before spraying. Also, be sure to wipe the glass until dry. This solution doesn't dry as quickly as other window cleaners. If you leave wet streaks, they may dry and look like smears. Additionally, I don't know if you were cleaning fairly clean windows to begin with, or really dirty ones, like outside windows. If really dirty, it will take a little more cleaning and wiping to get glass clean, just as with any other glass cleaner. This solution really does work. Hopefully, some of these suggestions will help. Thanks for your question. Delete

Monty python witch comedy

She is accused of being a witch and put on trial. The courtroom scene is filled with hilarity, as the characters debate over what constitutes proof of witchcraft. The ridiculous arguments and nonsensical logic add to the comedic effect. Overall, the Monty Python witch comedy is a satirical masterpiece that lampoons various aspects of society and bureaucracy while entertaining audiences with its absurdist humor. The Ministry of Silly Walks sketch, in particular, stands out as a prime example of the Python's comedic genius, with its witty dialogue, memorable characters, and clever commentary on the absurdity of everyday life..

Reviews for "Monty Python's Witch Comedy: A Revolution in British Humor"

- John Smith - 1-star rating - I did not find the "Monty Python witch comedy" funny at all. The humor was too absurd and silly for my taste. I couldn't connect with any of the characters, and the jokes fell flat for me. I understand that Monty Python is known for its unique style of comedy, but this movie just didn't work for me.
- Emily Johnson - 2-star rating - I have always been a fan of Monty Python, but the "Monty Python witch comedy" missed the mark for me. The plot was confusing and hard to follow, jumping from one random scene to another without any clear direction. I felt like the comedy was forced, and the jokes were not as clever as in their previous works. Overall, I was disappointed with this film and expected more from the talented Monty Python team.
- David Thompson - 2-star rating - I appreciate absurdist humor, but the "Monty Python witch comedy" was too much for me. I found it difficult to find any coherence in the storyline. The jokes were too random and failed to elicit any laughter from me. I can see why some people find Monty Python's style amusing, but this movie just didn't resonate with me. I would recommend it only to die-hard Monty Python fans.
