Surviving the plane crash was only the beginning . After their plane crashes into uncharted territory in the Himalayas, the survivors set out to find help in the freezing cold. As the days pass and with no sign of a rescue, tensions begin to mount. The survivors wrestle with their consciences as they realise that in order to survive, they must use the bodies of the dead as food. But when it appears that something else is already feeding upon the dead, the survivors realise that their biggest danger is not hunger but something infinitely more sinister: a legendary Yeti is stalking them and is moving in for the kill. Can they outsmart the beast or will they die trying?

Smoker, asking her if she weighs the same as a duck. The villagers believe that witches are lighter than ducks, and if Mrs. Smoker weighs the same as a duck, then she must be a witch.

that's not even remotely true

"If you want to help, help us find our friend, she was taken by a Yeti."
This is just one example of the sort of amusing dialogue throughout this movie. From the first scene onwards this movie is laughably bad, an American football team's plane crash lands in the Himalayas where the start getting picked off by one of the most ridiculous looking movie monsters ever. This Yeti is like the bastard offspring of Chewbacca and Vigo from Ghostbusters 2 after a bad blue rinse job, for most of the film its a slow, lumbering almost Frankenstein like monster until around the half way point where it starts to leap around like some sort of giant grasshopper. At one point…

I’m a graphic designer by trade so I always judge films based on their opening title designs. Yeti: Curse of the Snow Demon, aka Yeti, starts with a black screen and a white “Yeti” written in a generic script font. The credits are the same font in white, but with the default drop shadow effect. This tells me that the producers knew the film was so great that they didn’t have to waste either time or money on talent. Yeti is the 14th film in the critically acclaimed* ScyFi’s Maneater collection, which includes classics like Rise of the Gargoyles, Sand Serpents and Malibu Shark Attack. It features two actors I remember from 90s TV, Ed Marinaro who was one of…

3/10 Outside a handful of laughable moments, okay gore and practical effects, and decent pacing, this Sci-Fi Channel original movie from 2008 was pretty terrible overall.
With terrible acting and dialogue, a plot that makes about as much sense as eating a rotten banana, horrible writing, CGI straight out of a bad PS2/Xbox game along with some shoddy green screen, unremarkable cinematography, and the Yeti creature looks like they’ve used the costume from the Jim Carrey Grinch movie and just sprayed paint it white. I really don’t recommend this movie whatsoever. It’s pretty much a crappy rip-off of the 1993 survival thriller Alive but with a Grinch-looking Yeti in it. Watched on YouTube.

SyFy does it again. As dumb as this movie is, I remember watching it when I was younger, and I remember really liking it. It’s not bad, but it’s not great, or very good, really.

Horroctober 2023#35 This low budget horror film shot in Vancouver about a couple of guys who supposedly crashed their plane in the Himalayas and then encounter a yeti has at least some nice ice and snow images. The setting with the crashed football team is reminiscent of SUPERVIVIENTES DE LOS ANDES (1976) or the remake ALIVE (1993) about a real plane crash involving a rugby team in the Andes. The question arises as to what they can eat. One suggests eating the bodies from the plane. You'll have to see for yourself whether they do that. Then there are other elements, like the Yeti monster, which is definitely interested in human flesh. This is perfectly fine for a presumably low-budget flick. There are certainly worse Yeti films. boxd.it/3Maow

Yeti: Curse of The Snow Demon is a 2008 action horror movie directed by Paul Ziller which follows a plane flight carrying a college football team that crashes in the Himalayas. Surviving the crash was only part of their problem. Trying not to become a meal for the monster lurking in the mountains will be their greater challenge. With a whopping 3.3/10 on IMDb, I went into this with low expectations, expectations had the film managed to adhere to. Featuring shoddy acting and a lack of actual tension or fear, this film works more for hilarity than anything else. The titular Yeti looks decent…

American football dudes and dudettes survive an airplane crash in the Himalayas only to encounter a freakin' yeti. These people are totally clueless and are complete crap at telling whether people are actually dead. And crap at like making fires, making decisions, first aid ( "I'm a trainer -I only do bruises and sprains" - excuse given for not even attempting to administer the basics of first aid). The yeti itself seemed to be suffering from mange. But all hope not lost as the said yeti developed super-jumping powers half-way through and was able leap over any stupid bits with ease.

Yeti: Curse of the Snow Demon (2008) Movie

Monty python witch scene video

The comedic twist is that Sir Bedevere and the villagers completely ignore the fact that the weight of a person has nothing to do with whether or not they are a witch. However, the absurd logic of this scene is what makes it so hilarious. Throughout the sketch, the villagers continue to make irrational connections between Mrs. Smoker and witchcraft. They accuse her of turning a man into a newt, using odd body measurements to determine her guilt, and even digging up her front lawn to look for evidence of witchcraft. The main idea of this sketch is to highlight the absurdity and irrationality of witch trials and how they were often based on ridiculous evidence and beliefs. The Monty Python witch scene video is a classic example of the comedy group's unique and irreverent style. Through their clever writing and comedic performances, they are able to satirize and critique historical events and societal norms. This sketch in particular mocks the ignorance and blind belief in superstition that often led to innocent people being accused and persecuted during witch trials. It serves as a reminder that blindly following tradition and superstition can lead to irrational and harmful outcomes. Overall, the Monty Python witch scene video is a hilarious and thought-provoking sketch that highlights the absurdity of witch trials and blind belief in superstition. By satirizing these historical events, Monty Python provides a comedic critique of societal norms and challenges viewers to question their own beliefs and traditions..

Reviews for "Monty Python's Witch Scene Video: The Art of Blending Absurdity and Intelligence"

1. Jennifer - 2 stars - I didn't find the "Monty Python witch scene video" as funny as everyone else seems to. The humor just didn't resonate with me. I found it to be quite repetitive and drawn out, with the same joke being stretched for far too long. The acting felt forced, and the dialogue was uninspiring. Overall, I was left unamused and disappointed.
2. Alex - 1 star - I really don't understand what all the fuss is about with the "Monty Python witch scene video". I found it to be incredibly silly and juvenile. The humor was cheap and lacked any cleverness or wit. The visual gags were predictable and the whole sketch felt like a waste of time. I simply don't understand how this is considered comedy gold by so many people.
3. Sarah - 2 stars - I watched the "Monty Python witch scene video" based on its reputation as a classic comedy sketch, but I was left unimpressed. The humor was too slapstick for my taste, and the overall execution felt amateurish. The dialogue was weak and the acting wasn't convincing. I can appreciate the cultural impact it may have had, but personally, I just didn't find it funny.
4. Mark - 1 star - I honestly found the "Monty Python witch scene video" to be more annoying than amusing. The overacting and exaggerated accents were grating, and the repetitive nature of the sketch quickly grew tiresome. I couldn't understand what was supposed to be funny about it and I felt like I wasted my time watching it. Perhaps it's just not my cup of tea, but I don't see the appeal at all.
