The Haunting Curse of a Sinister Manor

By admin

Once upon a curse, in a faraway land, there was a kingdom ruled by a wise and just king. The kingdom was prosperous, and the people lived in peace and harmony. However, an evil sorcerer envied the king's power and happiness and plotted to overthrow him. The sorcerer devised a wicked plan to cast a curse upon the kingdom. He waited for a moment of vulnerability and seized the opportunity when the king's daughter, Princess Sophia, turned eighteen. On the eve of her birthday, the sorcerer infiltrated the castle and bewitched the princess.

In the beginning of the video you can notice a hidden, masked porno shots. The rumours has it that Bjork is taking a part in them by his own. It would not surprise me at all. Somehow MTV, MCM . haven't noticed that- all for good though. :) /they censored even All Is Full Of Love video by Chris Cunningham. /

Bjork pagan poetry multimedia experience

On the eve of her birthday, the sorcerer infiltrated the castle and bewitched the princess. As the first rays of the sun kissed the kingdom the following morning, an eerie silence fell upon the land. It seemed as if time had frozen, and the kingdom became trapped in a perpetual twilight.

It's becoming more and more clear to me that Bjork is not just a clever popstar. With every solo album she releases, the enigma around her music becomes bigger and as the medium of videoclips has always been very important, each promo she makes is a treat for the eye and mind. For her latest album, Vespertine, one of the songs that stand out is Pagan Poetry, a song about an obsessive love. The video for it shows us snippets of flesh being pierced with needles, threads with pearls on them, followed by images, digitally altered, so you can only see the outlines of what is happening. This video was censored for day-time television, because of the piercing-scenes and as it features several shots where Bjork can be seen topless. It would be the same as if Picasso's Demoiselles d'Avignon would be censored for it's nudity. Well, actually it was, in the time Picasso painted it. What Bjork shows us here is a deep insight into her mind, the tragedy of love, in a way that cannot be tagged as popmusic. Bjork seems to grow further and further from it, she's becoming a living piece of art.

Bjork is not good musician. She is not a great singer. Actually she is a genius. One of the most popular non commercial artists. I cannot recall a song or video of her , no matter how old they are , that sound or look old-fashioned. She admits that the visual art of her is as important as the music of it's own:

"The reason I do photographs is to help people understand my music, so it's very important that I am the same, emotionally, in the photographs as in the music. Most people's eyes are much better developed than their ears. If they see a certain emotion in the photograph, then they'll understand the music."

Pagan Poetry is the second video from her magnificent Vespertine album. Of course it was censored by most of the music channels. Her nipples and pierced body are obvious. In fact a great number of her videos were cut before broadcasting on TV. Unfortunitely that is a kind of mutilation.

The plot of the video is about a bride's wedding preparation. The Visual effects are stunning. All the darkness, combining a digital camera and professional one , computer animation. All in few stylish minutes. Nick Knight is great as usual.

Bjork gave all she could in this video. She appears a few times in it , showing a professional acting. The moods she represents in the video are amazing and deeply touching. No surprise she made a brilliant work at "Danser In The Dark".

At the end , I think this is the darkest and most depressive Bjork's video by now and it deserves to be noticed.

Once upon a curss

The curse had taken effect, and everyone in the kingdom fell into an eternal sleep. Years passed, and as the kingdom lay in a deep slumber, a brave prince named Alexander heard of the cursed kingdom and decided to embark on a perilous journey to find it. He was determined to break the curse and rescue the princess. Prince Alexander faced many obstacles along his journey, but his unwavering determination and pure heart guided him through each trial. Finally, after months of searching, he arrived at the kingdom's darkened gates. As he ventured deeper into the kingdom, Prince Alexander witnessed the desolation and sadness that had consumed its once vibrant streets. He searched for any signs of life and finally stumbled upon a small cottage hidden amongst the ruins. Inside, he found an old but wise woman who revealed to him that the only way to break the curse was true love's kiss from a prince. With renewed hope, Prince Alexander made his way to the castle, where Princess Sophia lay in an enchanted slumber. Gently, he leaned in and placed a tender kiss upon her lips. In that moment, time seemed to come alive, and a burst of light erupted from the princess. The curse was broken. As the kingdom awakened, joy and jubilation filled the air. The once cursed land was restored to its former glory, and the people rejoiced. Prince Alexander and Princess Sophia were hailed as heroes, their love prevailing over the dark forces that had plagued the kingdom. Once upon a curse, a tale of true love and bravery unfolded, reminding all that love is a powerful force that can conquer even the darkest of spells. And so, the kingdom thrived, and its people lived happily ever after, cherishing the love that had brought them back from the brink of despair..

Reviews for "The Curse of the Voodoo Doll: Harnessing its Power"

1. Jane - 2 stars - "Once Upon a Curse was a major disappointment for me. The storyline was predictable and lacked originality. The characters were one-dimensional and lacked depth. I found myself struggling to stay interested in the book and ended up skimming through most of it. The concept of the curse was intriguing, but the execution fell flat. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone looking for an engaging and unique fairy tale retelling."
2. Mark - 1 star - "I was extremely excited to read Once Upon a Curse, but it ultimately fell short of my expectations. The writing was clunky and the pacing was all over the place. The romance between the main characters felt forced and lacked chemistry. Additionally, the world-building was poorly executed, leaving me confused and disconnected from the story. I found myself constantly questioning the author's choices and the overall purpose of the book. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time on this one."
3. Amanda - 2 stars - "Once Upon a Curse had potential, but it failed to deliver. The plot was convoluted and the twists felt forced and unnatural. The characters were underdeveloped and their motivations were not adequately explained. I struggled to connect with any of them and found myself not caring about the outcome. The writing style was also subpar and lacked finesse. Overall, I was disappointed with this book and would not recommend it to fans of fantasy or fairy tale retellings."
4. Michael - 2 stars - "Once Upon a Curse started off promising, but quickly lost its charm. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, making it difficult to connect with the characters. The pacing was also off, with seemingly random events happening without proper build-up or explanation. The lack of character development made it hard to care about their fates, and the ending left me unsatisfied. I expected more from this book and was ultimately let down."
