I foolishly believed that my love and devotion would be enough to break the chains that bound you. However, I now see that it was not my place to play God and attempt to alter the course of your destiny. I understand now that the curse you bear is a part of who you are, for better or worse. It is not for me to decide how your story unfolds or to try and change the person you have become as a result of your curse.
