Although not technically a Leg of the Ski to Sea Race, there is a lot of fun and celebration to be had at the Finish Line of the Race in Marine Park. From the large Spectator Area, you can watch a kayaker hop out of their kayak and run up the hill to the finish line and ring the famous bell after their legs have fallen asleep. The foot of Harris Avenue in Fairhaven is where everyone gathers after the race for food and fun for the entire family.
Getting to Marine Park and Parking:
Don’t fight traffic on Ski to Sea Sunday. We encourage people to use public transportation, walk or ride their bikes to Fairhaven.
WTA’s red line bus (Route 1) will run three times an hour between downtown and Fairhaven. Four extra buses have been added for the day. Route 14 runs leaves downtown and hits Western Washington University’s C before proceeding to Fairhaven. That route leaves every 45 minutes on race day. Cost is $1.00 each way or you can use a WTA bus pass. Don’t hassle with traffic and parking, take the BUS! For more information, call 676-RIDE or visit www.ridewta.com
There is a pay parking lot across from the Ferry Terminal on Harris. We hope you enjoy watching our local athletes compete in the Ski to Sea Race.
Alternatively, parking is also available at the park-by-donation lot at Sacred Heart Church (corner of 14th St. & Knox Ave) starting at 12:30pm. All proceeds support Agape Service Project’s services to the farmworker community of Whatcom County.

1. John - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with the Spooky pumpkin witch kettle. The design looked amazing in the pictures, but it was much smaller in person and felt cheaply made. The quality of the material was subpar, and I found a few scratches on the surface right out of the box. Additionally, the kettle's lid didn't fit properly, causing steam to escape during boiling. Overall, not a good purchase for me.
2. Sarah - 3 stars - While the Spooky pumpkin witch kettle had a unique design, I found it to be quite impractical. The handle was poorly designed and felt uncomfortable to hold, especially when the kettle was full. It was also difficult to pour without spilling, which became frustrating over time. Furthermore, the kettle took longer than usual to heat up water, which wasn't efficient for everyday use. Though it looked quirky and fun, it fell short in terms of functionality.
3. David - 2 stars - The Spooky pumpkin witch kettle looked adorable but failed to live up to its charm. The lid kept falling off during boiling, making it dangerous to handle. The kettle also heated up very slowly, which was a significant inconvenience for someone who needs hot water quickly. The overall construction felt flimsy, and I wish the manufacturer had paid more attention to the quality. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product based on my experience.
