The Triquetra Symbol: A Key Element in Wiccan Magic

By admin

The Triquetra symbol holds significant meaning within Wiccan magic. It is a threefold symbol comprised of interlocking arcs and is often depicted as three interconnected vesica piscis or fish-shaped figures. In Wiccan belief, the Triquetra symbolizes the interconnectedness of the Maiden, Mother, and Crone aspects of the triple goddess. Each point of the symbol represents one aspect of the goddess, with the Maiden representing youth, beauty, and new beginnings, the Mother representing fertility, nurturing, and creation, and the Crone representing wisdom, transformation, and endings. Additionally, the Triquetra symbol is also associated with the elements of earth, air, and water. The three points of the symbol can represent these elements, with the curved arcs representing the harmonious balance and flow between them.

Life's trials and triumphs can seem accidental. One person may feel that life is a constant struggle in which pitfalls abound and someone seems out to get him. Another may feel that every day is a gift from God with special blessings just for her. That's because forces are at work in our lives: the blessings of a loving God or the curses of our spiritual adversary.

Drawing from God s Word and real-life experiences, Prince will help you understand the causes of curses occult activity, hidden sin, abuses, abandonment, even sin from a previous generation and teach you how to be set free from curses, so you can start enjoying the benefits of God s blessings. In this expanded edition of Blessing or Curse You Can Choose , each chapter is followed by a study lesson for yourself or for a small group with review questions, a life application section and a memory verse.

The three points of the symbol can represent these elements, with the curved arcs representing the harmonious balance and flow between them. This symbol is often used in rituals and spells to invoke the power and energy of the goddess and the elements. Furthermore, the Triquetra symbol can be seen as a representation of the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

Blrssing or curse you can choose

I was the mother of young children and was exhausted from trying and fighting to succeed at even the simplest things. My children were sick a lot, my house was a disaster zone, and our lives seemed chaotic. For example, my children would fall off of their beds, hit their heads on coffee table corners and run into ceramic sinks, requiring stitches. I remember sitting in my kitchen one evening and looking up to see my sweet little blonde-haired, blue-eyed three year old standing in the doorway. Blood gently streamed from a gash in her forehead. As I grabbed a towel and held it to her head, I remembered a time that I had done the same with my little brother when we were children.

Years later, I somehow ran across a copy of Blessing or Curse (You Can Choose) by Derek Prince. Even though the book was out of my current theological comfort zone back then, I was desperate. I opened it and began reading, believing that curses did exist. The book made perfect sense. It was my first exposure to spiritual warfare, and it led me to the first victories that I would experience in what would become a life-long determination to war against the enemy of our souls.

I believe that one of the many reasons that we are told not to judge people is because we do not know what opposition each person fights. Gambling is an example. I do not have the slightest interest in slot machines or poker. It is distasteful to me. What I know from family experience, however, is that this lack of interest is by God’s grace. This is because I come from a long line of gamblers. This addiction runs through my family line and has resulted in much suffering by many people. As a result of my experience and understanding of generational curses, and my witnessing the havoc the spirit of gambling has on families, I do not judge people who deal with this addiction. Instead, I understand that prayer is needed, and warfare. Compassion is the fruit of being shown grace and mercy. We wrestle not against flesh and blood.

Curses take many forms. Derek Prince lists seven indications that problems in your life may be a result of curses. I was surprised that some things that our family wrestled with were possibly curses. Here is Mr. Prince’s list;

  1. Mental and/or emotional breakdown
  2. Repeated or chronic illness (especially if hereditary)
  3. Barrenness, miscarriage or related female issues
  4. Breakdown of marriage and family alienation
  5. Continuing financial insufficiency
  6. Accident-proneness
  7. History or suicide and unnatural or untimely deaths

“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.”
– Deuteronomy 30:19

Derek Prince explains Biblically why and how curses exist. The book contains chapters on types of curses, causes of curses, steps to break curses, and prayers. To stop there, however, would be to leave the reader empty and directionless. The book is completed by its teaching on blessings. To break a curse is only part of the victory. To choose blessing is to claim your inheritance. Derek Prince calls this “The Divine Exchange.” This is God’s plan for us.

After I gained understand of blessings and curses, followed the steps, and prayed as the book advised, I did see tremendous changes in my family. The Emergency Room visits lessened. So did the hospital bills. I began to see a reduction in the chaos and confusion of my home. The true victory, however, was in better understanding the cost of sin, careless words, and passivity in our lives. The devil is known to take unguarded territory. I became vigilant and more able to recognize signs that curses were effecting our family. Even now, years later, the Lord continues to reveal that curses are at the roots of some problems.

Blessing or Curse was originally written in 1990 and is still in print. It’s essential to understand blessings and curses to live in freedom. The amazing thing is that Jesus’ death on the cross paid the price to break every curse and pave the wave for every blessing. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit reveals to each of us the areas where curses are operating in our lives. After reading this book, the words “God bless you” take on new meaning. God bless you!

Are you or your family experiencing repeated sickness or accidents? Do you feel under mental, emotional or financial pressure much of the time? Are your closest relationships in turmoil? Do you wonder why success comes easily to others but seems to elude you?

It is often drawn or visualized on objects, such as candles, altars, or ritual tools, to signify the connection and balance sought in magical workings. Wiccans may also incorporate the Triquetra symbol in talismans or amulets to carry its spiritual protection and guidance. Overall, the Triquetra symbol holds great significance in Wiccan magic, representing the interconnectedness of the triple goddess, the elements, and the cycle of life.
