The Divine Feline: Discovering the Powers of the Wiccan Cat Tarot

By admin

The Wiccan Cat Tarot is a unique deck of tarot cards that combines two fascinating elements: Wiccan spirituality and the enigmatic nature of cats. This deck, created by artist and tarot reader Magdelina Messina, offers a fresh and alternative approach to traditional tarot readings. Wicca is a modern Pagan religion that focuses on celebrating nature and honoring the divine in all its forms. It draws inspiration from ancient Celtic beliefs and practices, as well as other Earth-based spiritual traditions. The Wiccan Cat Tarot incorporates these principles into its imagery and interpretations, making it an ideal tool for those who resonate with Wiccan teachings. Cats have long been associated with magic, mystery, and intuition.

Cats have long been associated with magic, mystery, and intuition. In many cultures, they are considered spiritual beings that can bridge the gap between the physical and spiritual realms. The Wiccan Cat Tarot features beautifully illustrated cats in various mystical and symbolic settings, reflecting their significance in both Wiccan and tarot traditions.

Cat Tarot Deck Review

Ok. I know this deck isn’t THAT new, but I just picked it up a few days ago and feel really compelled to write this review.

I got some good news at work the other day about a project I’ve been working on for over a year, and decided to celebrate by treating myself to a new deck. I went into Barnes and Noble, where they had a ton of decks on sale for 20% off. Despite being an avid cat lover (I have two of my own, and foster kittens on a regular basis), I had previously decided against purchasing the Cat Tarot. Although I felt tempted multiple times, I thought the images were too “fluffy” and perhaps would not provide good readings. The Tarot of Pagan Cats is one of my favorite decks, and compared to that one, the symbolism just didn’t seem as clear to me in the Cat Tarot.

However, I just couldn’t resist the cute little box sitting on the B&N shelf calling my name, so I picked one up. Even as I brought it home, I was thinking this would just be a cute deck to add to my collection, not one that I would want to read with.

BOY WAS I WRONG. This deck has quickly won my heart in a major way. First of all, the deck comes packaged in a cute and very sturdy two piece box, and includes a very comprehensive little guidebook.

The cardstock is similar to that of playing cards–not too thick, but “bouncy” and resilient–great for people who like to riffle shuffle their cards(like me!).

The images are super cute all the way around. Usually even in my favorite decks, there is at least one card that doesn’t sit well with me (ex. The Devil card in the Pagan Cat tarot gives the cats bunny ears and it seriously disturbs me, and the Ten of Pentacles card in The Muse Tarot feels like the moments before a cult’s mass-suicide), there’s not a single card that bothers me in this deck. Sometimes though, I don’t find the meaning behind the image totally clear at first glance.

However, that is where the guide book comes in! This may be one of my favorite guide books ever. It’s short and succinct but really does a good job of explaining the images on the cards, and I was quickly able to get on the same page as the author with this deck. And, WOW, it reads so well. This has quickly become my go to deck when I need immediate, actionable advice. Despite how cutesy the deck is, it gives incredibly pragmatic, accurate, and clear answers.

This deck was definitely a dark horse that I didn’t see coming. I can see myself working with this deck for a long time.

The Wiccan Cat Tarot can be used for a variety of purposes, including divination, personal reflection, and spiritual guidance. Its imagery and interpretations can help users tap into their intuition, connect with the energies of the natural world, and gain insight into their spiritual journey. Overall, the Wiccan Cat Tarot offers a fresh and enchanting approach to tarot reading. Reviews for "Exploring Your Inner Feline: Deepening Your Connection with the Wiccan Cat Tarot"

1. Jane - 2/5
I was not a fan of the Wiccan cat tarot deck. While the artwork was unique and whimsical, I found it difficult to connect with the cards and their meanings. The imagery seemed to be more focused on cute cats rather than conveying the spiritual depth and symbolism associated with Wiccan practices. Additionally, I found the guidebook to be lacking in explanations and interpretations, leaving me feeling frustrated and confused. Overall, I was disappointed with this deck and would not recommend it to serious tarot practitioners.

I purchased the Wiccan cat tarot deck with high hopes, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The artwork was charming, but that was about the only positive aspect of this deck for me. I didn't feel a strong connection with the cards or their meanings, and I found it difficult to read them accurately. The guidebook provided minimal explanations, forcing me to rely on external sources for interpretations. Overall, I found this deck to be lacking depth and insight, and I regretted my purchase.

I was excited to add the Wiccan cat tarot to my collection, but unfortunately, it didn't resonate with me. The illustrations were cute, but I found them to be distracting and detracting from the serious and profound nature of tarot readings. The interpretations in the guidebook felt generic and surface-level, lacking the depth and nuance I prefer in a tarot deck. I tried to give it a chance, but ultimately, this deck didn't align with my spiritual practice, and I won't be using it for readings in the future.
4. Alex - 3/5
As a fan of cats and a believer in Wiccan practices, I was excited to try the Wiccan cat tarot deck. While the artwork was adorable and charming, I found the interpretations to be overly simplistic and vague. The meanings of the cards seemed to lack the depth and complexity that I was expecting. However, I still enjoyed using this deck for lighthearted readings and as a conversation starter among friends. While it didn't meet my expectations for a serious tarot deck, it may appeal to those looking for a more whimsical and less profound tarot experience.
