Famous Witches and their Iconic Flying Brooms

By admin

A witch on a flying sweep is a common image associated with witches and their supernatural abilities. The idea of a witch riding a broomstick has its roots in ancient folklore and has been popularized in modern culture through books, movies, and Halloween decorations. The concept of a witch flying on a broomstick may seem silly or whimsical to some, but it has deeper meaning and historical significance. In folklore, it was believed that witches possessed the ability to transform into various animals and travel through the night. This ability to transform into animals is known as shapeshifting, and the broomstick became a symbol of this shapeshifting ability. The broomstick, or "sweep" as it is often called, was thought to be infused with magic that allowed witches to fly through the night sky.

How to Prepare & Use Your Doll:

  • Start with a clean slate by neutralizing the energy attached to your voodoo doll. You have several options for cleansing your doll, like covering it with incense or sage or rinsing it with salt water. As another option, leave it out in the sunlight or moonlight for several hours.
  • Make your doll represent someone by attaching their photo, a lock of hair, a piece of their clothing, or their name.
  • Concentrate on your desires. First, meditate for a few minutes to clear your mind of distracting thoughts. While holding your voodoo doll, focus on the desired effect you hope it will bring.
  • Stick pins into your doll to represent your intentions and what you want to happen to this person—which could be yourself or someone else.
  • Place your voodoo doll on a personal altar and light a candle.
  • Ask the voodoo spirits, called Loas, to help you with your voodoo doll, or petition your ancestors for help.
