The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) ensures livelihood opportunities, and Startup India encourages entrepreneurial ventures from these regions, fostering local innovation and economic growth. I can assure that the common structure of these applications and technology will greatly add value to businesses and the lives of consumers. How? Since we have been a part of globalisation, it has improved the interconnectedness of countries, companies and many more components of business and trade. I asked a few days ago if geopolitical scenario affects supply chain management and I certainly believe it does. But how? 1. Geopolitical tensions can affect trade routes and can cause delay in delivery. For example: The Russia and Ukraine war, this not only poses a challenge for companies but affects largely in the transportation of commodities like food and other related goods. In addition to this a lot of Indian companies fear 400 million dollars plus worth of stuck payments because of multiple sanctions and instability 2. Make in India initiative has helped businesses in India but it poses as a threat to other countries and their products. Geopolitical scenarios affect the perceptions of consumers. Example? Ban Chinese products. 3. Safety concerns is as important as any other, the current scenario affects the security of transporters and how a small compliance issue can cause a threat to them. Management of inventory and supply chain mapping gets difficult leading to a lot of utilisation of resources to mitigate risks 4. Political instability can cause a lot of labours to go on strike or can increase shortages in manpower, this increasingly creates havoc and makes it extremely difficult for supply chain and logistics companies to deliver important goods on time. The impact of geopolitical scenarios on supply chain management can be felt at both the micro and macro levels. At the micro level, companies may experience disruptions to their supply chains that can lead to delays, shortages, and higher prices. At the macro level, geopolitical tensions can have a significant impact on the global economy, which can ripple through supply chains and affect businesses of all sizes. It is important for businesses to be aware of the potential impact of geopolitical scenarios on their supply chains and to develop contingency plans to mitigate the risks. This may include diversifying their suppliers, building up inventory buffers, and developing alternative transportation routes.
