About the Author
MARY POPE OSBORNE is the author of the New York Times number one bestselling Magic Tree House series. She and her husband, writer Will Osborne (author of Magic Tree House: The Musical), live in northwestern Connecticut with their three dogs. Ms. Osborne is also the coauthor of the companion Magic Tree House Fact Trackers series with Will, and with her sister, Natalie Pope Boyce.
SAL MURDOCCA has illustrated more than 200 children's trade and text books. He is also a librettist for children's opera, a video artist, an avid runner, hiker, and bicyclist, and a teacher of children's illustration at the Parsons School of Design. 1. Samantha - 2 stars - I was really excited to read "Magic Treehouse 10" as I had heard such great things about the series. However, I was quite disappointed with this particular installment. The plot felt rushed and underdeveloped, and the characters lacked depth. Additionally, I found the writing style to be juvenile and unengaging. Overall, I was let down by this book and won't be continuing with the series.
2. John - 1 star - I'm not sure what all the fuss is about with the "Magic Treehouse" series. I picked up "Magic Treehouse 10" expecting an exciting and magical adventure, but instead, I found a lackluster and predictable story. The dialogue was clunky and unconvincing, and the descriptions were lacking in detail. I just couldn't connect with the characters or the world they were in. It felt like a missed opportunity and I won't be recommending this book to anyone.
