Enhancing Your Gameplay with Magic Plus in The King of Fighters 2002

By admin

The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus is an enhanced version of the popular arcade fighting game, The King of Fighters 2002. It was developed by SNK and released in 2002. The game features a roster of characters from previous entries in the series, as well as a few new ones. One of the main features of The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus is the addition of "Magic Plus" mode. In this mode, players can perform powerful special moves and combos using a meter that gradually fills up during battle. These moves can deal a significant amount of damage to opponents and turn the tide of the match in the player's favor.

Team “Ura Orochi” (this team is a secret in the original KOF 2002, you can select it by pressing “START” when you select a member of the Orichi team): Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Shermie, Orochi Chris

To be honest, this is one of my favorite fighting games, the commands are easy, the super moves are awesome, free cancel combos take a while to master, but they are really effective when you manage to pull out one, it has alot of characters and it is really button mashing friendly. Team Ura Orochi this team is a secret in the original KOF 2002, you can select it by pressing START when you select a member of the Orichi team Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Shermie, Orochi Chris.

Game Review: The King of Fighters 2002: Magic Plus 2

The king of fighters (also known as KOF) is a fighting game franchise developed by SNK playmore. This game contains fighters from other games like Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and many others.

KOF 2002: magic plus 2 is a fan edited version of KOF 2002. In the original KOF 2002 there are only 42 playable characters, 1 boos and 1 secret character, but in magic plus 2 you are able to chose from 45 characters

In my personal opinion, KOF 2002 magic plus 2 is better than KOF 2002, why you may ask?, simply because it’s more button mashing friendly than the normal KOF 2002, the super power bar (or desesperation move bar) fills when you block or do and attack, letting the player do more combos or special moves instead of slowly filling it up by blocking or doing tons of attacks.

This game is a 2d, 3 on 3 fighting game, like street fighter or marvel vs capcom. This game has 3 special and unique features that where never include in previous KOFs, the “free cancel system”, the “emergency roll” and the “max power bar activation”. The game has a simple button system, A,B,C and D.

A is for weak puch

B is for weak kick

C is for strong punch

D is for strong kick

A+B + left/right allows you to roll, wich is important to avoid the oponent’s attack.

B+C activates the max power bar, this bar allows you to make free cancel combos, Super desesperation moves or Hiden Super desesperation moves.

C+D allows you to change your current character for another character from your team (MAGIC PLUS ONLY)

Because this game is an unoficial modified version of KOF 2002, there are many glitch and bugs (errors) in the game, some of them are really funny, some of them are really usefull, and some of them make the game reset.

Playable characters: (MAGIC PLUS 2 ONLY)

Team “Esaka Legend”: Kyo Kusanagi, Benimaru Nikaido, Goro Daimon

Team “Fatal Fury”: Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi

Team “Psycho Soldier”: Athena Asamiya, Sie Kensou, Chin Gentsai

Team “Ikari”: Leona Heidern, Ralf Jones, Clark Steel

Team “Art of Fighting”: Ryo Sakazaki, Robert Garcia, Takuma Sakazaki

Team “Korea”: Kim Kaphwan, Chang Koehan, Choi Bounge.

Team “Woman”: Mai Shiranui, Yuri Sakazaki, May Lee

Team “KOF ’96”: Iori Yagam, Mature, Vice

Team “KOF ’97/Outlaw”: Blue Mary, Ryuji Yamazaki, Billy Kane

Team “Orochi”: Yashiro Nanakase, Shermie, Chris

Team “K”: K’, Maxima, Whip

Team “Agent”: Vanessa, Ramon, Seth

Team “KOF 2001”: Kula Daimond, K9999, Angel

Team “Ura Orochi” (this team is a secret in the original KOF 2002, you can select it by pressing “START” when you select a member of the Orichi team): Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Shermie, Orochi Chris

Additional Characters: Rugal (Arcade Boss), Kusanagi (Secret character), Orochi Leona (Magic Plus 2 additional character)

To be honest, this is one of my favorite fighting games, the commands are easy, the super moves are awesome, free cancel combos take a while to master, but they are really effective when you manage to pull out one, it has alot of characters and it is really button mashing friendly. Althought the story is kinda weird, and you might not understand it if you haven’t played the previous ones, and the fact that the last boss is really overpowered and hard to defeat, this game is extremelly fun to play with other people.

I’ll give it a 7.5/10 (1 player) and a 9/10 (multiplayer)

The king of fighters 2002 magic plus

The objective is to defeat all of the opponents' team members within a set time limit or by reducing their health bar to zero. Each character has their own unique fighting style and set of moves, allowing players to experiment with different strategies and playstyles. The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus also features various game modes, including Arcade Mode, Versus Mode, and Team Versus Mode. Arcade Mode allows players to progress through a series of battles against computer-controlled opponents in order to reach the final boss. Versus Mode allows two players to battle against each other locally, while Team Versus Mode allows for up to four players to compete in a team-based battle. The graphics and sound in The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus are similar to its predecessor, with colorful character sprites and vibrant backgrounds. The music and sound effects are also well-done, adding to the overall atmosphere of the game. In conclusion, The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus is an enjoyable and action-packed fighting game that offers a variety of gameplay modes and a robust roster of characters. The addition of the "Magic Plus" mode adds an extra layer of depth and excitement to the battles. Whether you're a fan of the series or new to fighting games, The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus is worth checking out..

Reviews for "The Impact of Magic Plus Moves on Character Balance in The King of Fighters 2002"

I found "The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus" to be a disappointment. The gameplay was repetitive and lacked the excitement I expected from a fighting game. The graphics were outdated and the character models were pixelated. The controls felt clunky and unresponsive, making it difficult to execute combos and special moves. Overall, I would not recommend this game to any fighting game enthusiasts.
2. Jane Smith - 2 stars
"The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus" did not live up to my expectations. While the game had a large roster of characters to choose from, the gameplay itself felt unbalanced and unfair. Some characters had overpowered moves that made it nearly impossible to defeat them, while others seemed weak and ineffective. Additionally, the lack of variety in the game modes made it feel repetitive and boring after a short period of time. The graphics and sound were also below par, adding to the overall disappointment of this game.
3. Michael Johnson - 2 stars
I was highly disappointed with "The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus." The game lacked depth and strategy, making it feel like a button-mashing fest rather than a skillful fighting game. The character animations were choppy and the hit detection was inconsistent, leading to frustrating and unfair battles. The lack of online multiplayer was also a letdown, as I enjoy competing against other players from around the world. Overall, I would not recommend this game to anyone looking for a satisfying fighting game experience.
