Cinderella’s Curse and Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre coming from director Louisa Warren

Producers/directors Louisa Warren and Scott Jeffrey have worked together multiple times, crafting films about creepy mermaids, scarecrows, and dolls. They’ve even made several horror Tooth Fairy movies. Jeffrey is currently collaborating with Rhys Frake-Waterfield on a series of films that will put a horror twist on public domain children’s stories like Peter Pan, Bambi, and Winnie the Pooh – and it started with Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. While they work on that, Warren has announced (via our friends at Bloody Disgusting) that she has two fractured fairy tale horror movies in the works: Cinderella’s Curse and Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre !

Coming our way from ChampDog Films, Cinderella’s Curse is expected to begin filming in the UK this month. ITN Studios is already planning to give it an October 2023 release. Warren is producing and will be directing, working from a script by Harry Boxley. Warren told Bloody Disgusting, “ This an incredibly unique spin on the Cinderella we all love and know. There are going to be some truly horrific deaths by her hands. I think the gore hounds are in for a treat in my dark retelling. “

Cinderella’s Curse will star Kelly Rian Sanson, Chrissie Wunna, and Danielle Scott.

And once that movie wraps, Warren will be going into production on Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre in August. Jasmine Ebony Thomas is working on the script for that one, telling the following story: The beautiful Princess Thalia is thrown to ruins after her father’s mysterious death. She lives with Prince Edison who she is in love with but can no longer marry since losing her status. Queen Velma wants the kingdom for herself and will use her dark powers, and use of the occult, to take over at any means necessary. Velma casts Thaila into a deep sleep to never wake, till one day she does and her web of lies start to fall around her. A violent twist after twist with gory and graphic deaths will ensue .

Lora Hristova, Lila Lasso, Leah Glater, Robbie Taylor, Sophie Rankin, Charlotte Coleman, and Judy Tcherniak are set to star.

Warren had this to say about Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre: “ This film will flip everything as you know it on its head. It is savage, dark and utterly horrifying. I am setting out to create the most uncomfortable horror experience to date. There will be lies, gore and a big massacre. If you look back at the original material there is so much to play with. “

ITN Studios is also planning to release that film by the end of the year.
