What inspired you to write Dark Magic?
I fell in love with the Percy Jackson series when I was younger, especially the unique portrayal of Greek Gods and Goddesses. In recent years, I’ve also read so many fantastic retellings of fairy tales initially written by the Grimm Brothers. I wanted to bring a unique story to life that integrated Gods and Goddesses with the Grimm Brothers and a hierarchy of demons.
What has been the favorite part of your publishing journey so far?
The marketing part has been a ton of fun—from creating content for social media posts to recruiting members to the street team, I’ve enjoyed building up hype and excitement for Dark Magic!
If you were a character in Dark Magic, what kind of character would you be?
I’d probably be one of the reapers, guiding souls from the human realm to the Underworld.

An action-packed paranormal fantasy!
What is your favorite quote from Dark Magic?

What do you hope readers take away from your story?
I hope readers realize that they should live their life to the fullest extent because all life ends with death. Death is often sudden and unexpected, so spending time with the people you love and living in the moment is incredibly important.
Could you give us 5 random facts about Dark Magic (think the story, writing, publishing, anything that comes to mind)?
- The original draft of Dark Magic did not include the Prologue: Phlegethon’s Secret.
- Despite the Underworld being a physical realm, the land is sentient and has a mind of its own.
- The original word count for the book was just over 140,000! However, the final draft had approximately 130,000 words after revisions and major changes.
- Dark Magic is one of four books in The Chronicles of the Underworld series. A few spinoffs are also in the works!
- The eBook version of Dark Magic will only be available on Amazon through Kindle until September 2023; however, the paperback and hardcover are available through many distributors, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and more.

Primrose Titan is a delightful and headstrong character that embarks on an epic cat-and-mouse chase when Lucifer escapes. This dynamic is immediately established in the prologue which introduces Lucifer with an ominous wink at his plans for her. The back and forth between them is carried throughout the story as she works to catch him. Despite her role as Goddess of Death, she remains grounded as she gets confused over humanity’s greed and fits within our modern reality with her use of an iPhone, a Walmart bag, and an 'I Love New York' baseball cap. Raluca Narita crafts a delightful concept of death that blends grittiness and humor. Primrose isn’t what you expect Death to be with a Disney shirt and reading Wuthering Heights but she’s relatable and it’s easy to adore her character. Death imagery is incorporated throughout the story, immediately setting up the tone with Primrose’s perspective of life and death. Her abilities also contribute to this imagery with her summoning the dead and comparing the actions to marionettes that move by her command.

1. Sarah - 1 star - I was extremely disappointed with the "Dora the Explorer Magic Wand" episode on Dailymotion. The storyline was weak and predictable, and there was no real educational or entertainment value. The animation was also subpar, with poorly drawn characters and cheap-looking backgrounds. Overall, it was a waste of time and definitely not worth watching.
2. Jake - 2 stars - As a parent, I found "Dora the Explorer Magic Wand" on Dailymotion to be lacking in quality and substance. The plot was shallow and the dialogue felt forced. Moreover, the show relied heavily on flashy visuals and magic tricks, rather than focusing on Dora's adventure and problem-solving skills. It didn't engage my child's attention or stimulate their imagination as other episodes have done in the past.
3. Emily - 1 star - "Dora the Explorer Magic Wand" on Dailymotion fell short of my expectations. The music and songs were repetitive and annoying, and the voice acting lacked enthusiasm. The supposed "magic wand" was nothing more than a gimmick, as Dora's actions and decisions did not rely on logic or reasoning. It felt like a lazy attempt to captivate young viewers without actually providing engaging content. I would not recommend this episode to anyone.
4. Michael - 2 stars - I found "Dora the Explorer Magic Wand" on Dailymotion to be uninspiring and unoriginal. It seemed like a recycled version of previous episodes, with a similar plotline and repetitive dialogue. The show didn't offer any new or exciting challenges for Dora and her friends to overcome, making it a boring and forgettable viewing experience. I expected more creativity and innovation from this popular children's show, but sadly, it failed to deliver.
5. Jessica - 1 star - "Dora the Explorer Magic Wand" on Dailymotion was a disappointment from start to finish. The episode lacked a coherent storyline, jumping from one random scene to another without any clear purpose or direction. The characters' interactions felt forced and unnatural, and the dialogue was overly simplistic. I would not recommend wasting your time watching this episode.
