The Mythical Creatures Associated with Mystic Spell Mist

By admin

The Mystic Spell Mist is an ancient and enigmatic phenomenon that has puzzled scholars, mystics, and adventurers for centuries. It is said to be a misty veil that grants extraordinary powers to those who are able to harness its energy. The origins of this spell mist are shrouded in mystery and perhaps only known to a select few. Legends and myths surround the Mystic Spell Mist, with stories of individuals transforming into powerful beings, communing with otherworldly entities, and even altering the fabric of reality. Many have sought to find and harness its power, but very few have succeeded. Those who have attempted to tap into its energy without proper understanding or guidance have often met disastrous consequences.

Edit2: About components: Once the list is complete we can track everything that is expensive component wise. Right now Mystic has a hidden class feature called "Free Spell focus that you can't lose". It works like a cleric effectively. As far as somatic goes,.it's like he got part of the war caster feat. Verbal is the big one. So I think looking at expensive materials and a discussion of no verbal requirement is where the big discussion is.

If a group comes upon an encampment shrouded in dense opalescent fog and they have a wizard with them that recognizes this as a Mystic Mist spell, how does one circumvent the spell. Mystic spell mist

Those who have attempted to tap into its energy without proper understanding or guidance have often met disastrous consequences. There are some who believe that the Mystic Spell Mist is a natural occurrence, a convergence of magical energies that gather at specific locations or during certain celestial events. Others speculate that it is a created phenomenon, a result of ancient rituals or powerful artifacts.

Mystic "Spells"

I've started this, becuase I want to see how it actually stacks pound per pound, assuming that 2/3/5/6/7 psi is equivalent to 1-5 level spells. I think this will allow us to compare more easily. The weight of things like components can then be judged on class ability vs class ability.

I've done two disciplines.

Adaptive Body

  • Environmental Adaption (1st equiv) = Endure Elements(1), the same, but no ritual options. +1 Core
  • Adaptive Shield (2) = Absorb Elements (1) from EE. +1 core, cheaper.
  • Energy Adaption (3) = Protection from Energy (3).
  • Energy Immune (5) = Actually has a 6th level.equivalent in EE that is more powerful, fair trade.

Beastial Form

  • Claws = Inflict wounds minus 1d10 at equivalent
  • Transformation has a combining advantage at higher levels hard to factor in.they also lack concentration and last longer which is a boon on several of these.
  • Tough Hide(1)= Shield of Faith(1)
  • Flight (3) = Fly (3), but mage can affect multiple and fly faster
  • Amphibious(1) = Underwater Breathing (3) but underwater breathing can be cast as a ritual.also, applies to more people
  • Climbing (1) = Spider climb(2) but without the stick.surfaces. Swimming doesn't have an equivalent, but I put it on level with climbing. I call that fair.
  • Perfect Senses(2) = See Invisibility (2), but see invisibility doesn't have a 5 foot limit.
  • Keen Senses (1) = No direct equivalent, But Enhance Ability covers all wisdom as a level 2.

In conclusion, I think huge swaths of these abilities have a spell equivalent, or nearly. If everyone does a couple, we can have an effective 'spell list'., this will help us judge. Instead of asking for dumps, we may ask for psi point adjustments.

In my two examples, the first clearly favors core classes, save for one insane ability. The second, tends to favor the mystic heavily due to the lack of concentration on transformation. However, excluding that, only Amphibious is really a power differential. And it's not entirely slanted one way. Inflict is superior to claws.

Edit: Becuase we are mostly interested in major differences, as they Come in, I will compile the big outliers worth deeper examination.

Adaptive Body - Energy Immune

Bestial Sense - Transformation

Psionic Restoration - Revivify

I wasn't impressed with the Mystic Spell Mist at all. The scent was described as floral and alluring, but to me, it just smelled like a mix of chemicals. I was hoping it would help me feel more refreshed and energized, but it had no such effect. Additionally, the mist left a greasy residue on my skin, which was not pleasant. I wish I had saved my money and tried a different product instead.
