Hogwarts Legacy - All Ancient Magic Hotspots Locations Guide

Ancient Magic Hotspots are a type of collectible in Hogwarts Legacy that allows you to increase the amount of Ancient Magic you can use. These are one of the easiest types of collectibles to gather, but the only downside is that you'll sometimes have to clear an enemy camp in order for you to get it.

The way to collect these hotspots is to go to one of them and a puddle of Ancient Magic will appear on the ground. Interacting with it will create 3 clusters of said Ancient Magic that spread out throughout the area. Collecting all 3 will net you the "collectible".

It is very easy to find them, especially during night, because they shoot out this little beam of light towards the sky, giving you their exact location. Of course you can also use Revelio to make them shine bright blue.

Like I said, completing these Ancient Magic Hotspots will net you more usage. Below is the amount you need for the next upgrade.

Forbidden Forest

Ancient Magic Hotspot #1

You can find this one on the northeastern side of the Forbidden Forest, a couple steps southwest of the North Ford Bog Entrance floo flame. It's in the middle of some ruins filled with spiders.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #2

This one is on the western side of the Forbidden Forest. From the West Forbidden Forest floo flame head southwest to find it inside some ruins.

Hogsmeade Valley

Ancient Magic Hotspot #1

From the East Hogsmeade Valley floo flame on the eastern side of the region go south-southwest to find it outside a ruined building northeast of Hogsmeade.

North Hogwarts Region

Ancient Magic Hotspot #1

Go southeast from the East North Hogwarts Region floo flame to find it among some ruins.

Hogwarts Valley

Ancient Magic Hotspot #1

You can find this at the ruins southwest of Lower Hogsfield.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #2

West-southwest of Brocburrow are some ruins with your Ancient Magic puddle. Note that the puddle is located on a wooden platform on higher ground.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #3

Directly south of Brocburrow is a small ruined castle with your puddle outside.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #4

This Ancient Magic can be found on top of the cliff northwest of Keenbridge. You'll have to deal with a camp of Poachers and Dark Wizards before being able to complete this.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #5

You can find this one directly west of Keenbridge. There's, yet again, a ruined house with the Ancient Magic puddle outside it.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #6

Southeast of Keenbridge, across the bridge is a ruined building that looks like a little castle. You can find it outside the main door.

Feldcroft Region

Ancient Magic Hotspot #1

You can find this one at the entrance of the canyon southwest of Lower Hogsfield. It's at a Poacher camp so you'll need to deal with them to complete this (unless you don't mind sneaking around).

Ancient Magic Hotspot #2

You can find this north of the town of Feldcroft. IT's right outside a ruined tower overlooking the main road.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #3

This puddle is directly east of Feldcroft, at a small set of ruins.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #4

We can find this puddle on the southern side of the region, southwest of Irondale.

Poidsear Coast

Ancient Magic Hotspot #1

You can find this puddle at the ruins south of the Phoenix Mountain Cave floo flame on the north-northeastern side of the region.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #2

This puddle is located just a couple steps south of the South Poidsear Coast floo flame on the southern side of the region, right before the rope bridge.

Marunweem Lake

Ancient Magic Hotspot #1

This puddle is located at the gate at the start of the large stone bridge northwest of Marunweem.

Ancient Magic Hotspot #2

You can find this puddle northeast of Marunweem, along the lakeside. There's a ruin here with several Inferius.

Manor Cape

Ancient Magic Hotspot #1

This little puddle is at the ruins just northeast of the West Manor Cape floo flame and directly southwest from Bainburgh.

Cragcroftshire

Ancient Magic Hotspot #1

This puddle is on the western most side of the region, and southeast from Bainburgh. It's at some ruins overlooking the road.
