The Ethical Use of Occult Weapons in Magic and Witchcraft

By admin

Occult weapons, also known as supernatural or paranormal weapons, are objects or tools that are believed to possess extraordinary powers or abilities beyond the natural realm. These weapons are commonly associated with occultism, magic, witchcraft, and other esoteric practices. They are often depicted in mythology, folklore, and popular culture as powerful artifacts used to fight supernatural beings or to perform magical rituals. One of the most famous examples of an occult weapon is the legendary Excalibur, the sword of King Arthur. According to Arthurian legends, Excalibur was said to have been given to Arthur by the Lady of the Lake and was believed to possess magical properties. It was said to grant its wielder invincibility and the ability to defeat any enemy.

i find it very confusing and also stupid that you require FAITH to wield an OCCULT weapon, OCCULTISM needing FAITH.

3 +1 6 -1 Submit Anonymous Velka's Rapier is a good weapon to finish up the game with if you are making an INT Mage build. 1 +1 0 -1 Submit Anonymous

Is anything specifically resistant to Occult, or does every other enemy ignore Occult and take the unaltered Magic Damage? My character has much higher FTH than STR/DEX, so it seems that it's just the better option to go for Occult infusions for most weapons, while keeping a single Divine-infused for the Undead and alike.

Thank God for DS2 because From did not plan out this effect very well in this one. Doesn't even feel like it does actual bonus damage.

30 +1 1 -1 Submit Anonymous I beat the whole game with an occult bandit knife. Very easy for the most part. 4 +1 8 -1 Submit Anonymous

Really should affect Artorias I believe. I mean he is one of the Godkin right? And I don’t think occult as an abyssal force was a concept in this game

Probably worth mentioning Occult weapons decrease Faith scaling while raising Strength and Dexterity scaling. They also cannot be buffed.

Now I am starting the Kiln of the First Flame - The first Black Knight I attack with the Occult Gargoyle Halberd +5 using 2H RB and I get 324 points per hit. I warp back and tried again with a regular Gargoyle Halberd +15 and get 406 per hit using the same 2H RB attack. Not only is there no extra using Occult, there is around 25% less. My stats are a bit higher than I thought - 50/40 with 32 faith. Curious if I am doing something wrong or this is just bad info on the BK and maybe enemies?

Trying to verify extra damage on Black Knights. I fought the one in Undead Burg with Occult Gargoyle Halberd +5 - damage per hit was around 350. Fought the one in Undead Parish with Gargoyle Halberd +15 and damage was a little over 500. I am NG++++ and I think the health on both knights is close to the same. My stats are 40/40 and I do have 32 faith which helps Occult but I don't think it helps that much. Assuming I get past the 4 Kings again I will test against the BKs before the final boss and see how that works out.

I love how the earliest moment you can make an occult weapon is after beating Anor Londo, the only place it will do bonus damage. Thanks From Software

Occult (auxiliary effect)

Occult, also known as Unholy, is an auxiliary effect in Dark Souls.

Occult weapons

According to biblical accounts, Moses used his staff to perform miracles and to part the Red Sea. The staff was said to have the power to transform into a snake and to bring forth water from rocks. It represented not only Moses' connection to God but also his authority and ability to lead the Israelites out of slavery. In Hindu mythology, the Trishula, also known as the trident, is a powerful occult weapon associated with Lord Shiva, the destroyer and transformer of the universe. The trident represents the three aspects of Shiva – the creator, preserver, and destroyer. It is believed to possess the power to dispel evil and to defeat demons. Occult weapons are not limited to traditional mythology and folklore. They are also commonly found in various forms of modern entertainment, such as video games, comic books, and movies. For example, in the popular manga and anime series "Bleach," the Soul Reapers wield Zanpakuto, which are spiritual swords with unique abilities and powers. These swords are considered occult weapons in the context of the series and are used to battle evil spirits and protect the living world. While occult weapons may be fictional in nature, they often reflect the human fascination with the supernatural and the desire for extraordinary powers. They embody the belief in the existence of hidden forces and the potential for individuals to tap into and harness those forces. Occult weapons serve as a form of escapism and fantasy, allowing people to imagine themselves as powerful heroes or heroines capable of overcoming any challenge..

Reviews for "The Allure and Dangers of Collecting Occult Weapons"

1. Jack - 2/5 - I found "Occult weapons" to be a disappointing read. The storyline lacked depth and the characters felt one-dimensional. The author seemed to focus more on sensationalizing the occult aspects rather than building a strong narrative. The writing style felt rushed and the dialogue awkward. Overall, I felt unsatisfied with the book and wouldn't recommend it to others.
2. Emily - 1/5 - "Occult weapons" was a complete waste of my time. The plot was predictable and cliché, and the characters were underdeveloped and unrelatable. I found myself rolling my eyes at the exaggerated descriptions of the occult elements, as it felt like the author was trying too hard to be edgy. The pacing was off, with unnecessary details dragging the story down. I regret picking up this book and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who values a well-crafted story.
3. Sarah - 2/5 - I had high hopes for "Occult weapons," but it fell short of my expectations. The writing was filled with grammatical errors and inconsistencies, making it difficult to stay engaged. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, adding to the overall disappointment. The plot lacked coherence and seemed to jump from one random event to another without proper explanation. I was left confused and unsatisfied with the ending, which felt rushed and unresolved. I can't say I enjoyed reading this book and wouldn't recommend it to others.
4. Michael - 1/5 - I couldn't even finish "Occult weapons" due to how poorly it was written. The narrative was disjointed and lacking any sense of direction. The characters were forgettable and their motivations were poorly developed. Additionally, the excessive use of gore and explicit descriptions felt gratuitous and unnecessary. The book failed to engage me, and I would advise others to look elsewhere for a more compelling occult-themed read.
5. Rebecca - 2/5 - "Occult weapons" was not the thrilling supernatural adventure I was hoping for. The pacing was incredibly slow, with long stretches of tedious dialogue and unnecessary descriptions. The characters lacked depth and their actions felt forced, making it difficult to connect with them. The plot meandered without a clear direction, causing the story to lose focus. While there were some interesting ideas, the execution fell flat. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone looking for an engaging occult-themed read.
