The curse of Turandot is a popular opera composed by Giacomo Puccini. It is set in ancient China and revolves around the beautiful but heartless Princess Turandot. The story begins with Prince Calaf, who falls in love with Turandot after seeing her beauty. He decides to win her over by solving three riddles, but if he fails, he will be executed. Prince Calaf successfully answers the three riddles, and Turandot is disgusted that he has won. She then challenges him to find out her true name by dawn or face death.
