The witch who is my godmother is an intriguing character who has played a significant role in my life. Although her title may seem ominous to some, she has been nothing but loving and supportive towards me. Growing up, I was initially confused and even frightened by the idea of having a witch as a godmother. However, as I got to know her better, I realized that she was not what popular culture portrayed witches to be. Instead of casting spells and brewing potions, my godmother used her knowledge of herbs and natural remedies to heal and help others. She had an extensive garden filled with various plants that had medicinal properties.
Unfortunately, this turned out to be more tricky than I thought. Most of you, just like myself, had parts of your life sorted and others that felt not quite right yet. I found women who had the business side mastered, only to find their relationships were in tatters. I found women who had climbed the career ladder fast and furiously, only to have lost her purpose along the way. Or women who thrived on motherhood, yet still felt they were somehow lacking.

It happened after I fell pregnant with my third baby girl. She would take me on walks through the forest, pointing out different plants and animals, teaching me about their importance and how they all interconnected. She would explain the delicate balance of nature and how we, as humans, should strive to protect and preserve it. As I grew older, my godmother began to teach me about the ancient traditions and rituals associated with witchcraft. Contrary to popular belief, these rituals were not meant to harm or manipulate others, but rather to harness the energies of the universe for positive purposes. I learned about casting spells for love, healing, and protection, and was amazed at the intention and focus required to perform these rituals successfully. My godmother also stressed the importance of using one's power wisely and responsibly. She taught me that with great power comes great responsibility and that it was our duty as witches to use our abilities for the betterment of ourselves and the world around us.
