The next few days were quiet, apart from Damon. He was currently trying to deal with the fact that Kathrine, the woman he had loved for the past 145 years, had lied to him and chose not to look for him. Meaning he was drinking more blood then he needed and compelling a bunch of drunk sorority girls. I also knew from Jeremy that Elena was learning about her birth family and that was really something I didn't want to have to deal with so I was staying out of it.

Luckily his room at mine was now fully complete with everything he could possibly want so he didn't have to worry about having to stay around her more then necessary. Jere had also been thinking about working lately as he felt it was time for him to get a job, despite me already helping him earn his own money already.

Today was the bachelors auction and I knew Damon was going to pull some kind of stunt. I, however, wasn't going to do anything about it. It wouldn't hurt anyone fore it to happen as it did and I didn't see a reason to change it. The only thing today would do was give Elena more information about her birth mother, Isobel.

I sit down in the window seat that faced the garden and enjoyed my morning coffee while I waited for Claire to wake up. Last night I had found her crying in front of the mirror. I know it was difficult for her to see a body that didn't match the one she felt she should have. So last night I spent most of the night researching different spells and potions. Most of what I had found were temporary rather then permanent until I found a particular potion. I had only finished brewing it a few hours ago and bottled it up. It now rest on the kitchen island next to her breakfast set up.

When I start to feel her wake up I smile to myself and start cooking off the pancake batter I can put in the fridge not long before. I get two on her plate before she comes down. "Morning Brave heart." I say with my back to her as I pour some more batter into the pan. I get a sleepy grumble in return. I listen as she jumps up onto the bar stool and hold my breath as I wait for her to read the label on the bottle. After a few moments I start to become nervous that perhaps I had done the wrong thing. Before I could turn around and tell her she didn't have to take it unless she wanted to, I felt her arms wrap around my waist in a tight hug.

I let out a relieved breath and wrap my arms around hers. "I made it last night. It will take a few hours to work. I won't lie it will hurt like hell so I want to put you to sleep. Is that okay with you?" She finally lets me go and I crouch down in front of her, turning the stove down as I do. She nods at me through her tears and I smile as I wipe them away.

"Thank you momma." She lets out a small giggle towards the end that makes me smile. "Lets have breakfast first." She nods and climb back up on the bar stool and covers her pancakes in syrup. I go back to making my breakfast and not long later I am knelt next to Claire's bed and she lays down. I had four candles lit around me in all four compass points and a bowl of herbs and water in front of me. I chant the right spell and the herbs smoke before bubbling down into a purplish pink liquid. I pick up the syringe and draw the right amount.

I knew Claire hated needed the I put a drop on her skin first to make it numb before injecting the elixir into her blood stream. She could have drank it but due to its bitter taste and the amount of time it would take to kick in, I figured injecting it would be better since it would give enough time for her to drink the other potion. "All done. Drink up" I pass her the vial and she happily drinks the whole thing before handing it back. I help her lay back down as the sleeping spell starts to kick in. I place a kiss on her head before cleaning up the supplies and letting her rest.

The potion I had made was a gender changing potion. I wanted her to go through puberty in a body that she wouldn't hate. The magic used for it was extensive but if it made her happy I would do it again. I quickly seal the house us to make sure no one who was a threat came in before I go up to my own room. I get comfortable on my bed and cast a spell. It would put me to sleep for a few hours to replenish my magic so I could recover from the amount I had used last night.

When I finally wake up I check the time and see it was only 11. I knew Claire would be awake in a few minutes so I shower and get dressed with a little help from my magic. Since we were going to the grill later for the auction I decided to dress up a little. I was in the mood for something edgy so I wore black skinny jeans, a dark grey and white panelled corset top and a white leather jacket. I added my Christian Louboutin healed boots

I go down stairs and and clean the last of the mess from breakfast and start getting lunch ready. I decide to only make something light since she would most likely want to order something at the grill as well. I make a tuna pasta salad and leave it in the fridge for when Claire wakes up. Until then I take the time to get some more work done and finish off any homework that I hadn't done yet. When I'm done I hear Claire coming down the stairs. I turn around in my chair and smile when she comes running over. I catch her and spin us around in a circle, making her giggle. I immediately noticed the change in her voice it was slightly higher and almost dream like. It reminded me so much of Luna Lovegood and I smiled at the similarities.

Reviews for "The Resurrection of Dark Magic: A Reborn Witch's Envisaging of Annihilation"

1. Sarah - 2 stars - "I really wanted to like 'A reborn witch envisages annihilation' but I found it quite underwhelming. The characters felt one-dimensional and the plot lacked depth. The magical elements of the story were poorly explained and felt forced. Overall, I was left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied with this book."
2. Mark - 1 star - "I cannot recommend 'A reborn witch envisages annihilation' to anyone. The writing style was inconsistent and confusing, making it difficult to follow the story. The pacing was off, with long stretches where nothing seemed to happen and then sudden rushed conclusions. Additionally, the dialogue felt unnatural and stilted, making it hard to connect with the characters. I found myself bored and unengaged throughout most of the book."
3. Emily - 3 stars - "While 'A reborn witch envisages annihilation' had an interesting premise, I felt let down by the execution. The world-building was lacking, leaving many unanswered questions about the magic system and the overall setting. The character development also fell short, with the protagonist feeling rather flat and unrelatable. However, the plot had some intriguing moments that kept me flipping the pages. It had potential, but ultimately failed to deliver on its promises."
