Red’s Turkey Sausage Egg’wich Review

The Red’s brand of frozen food is named after a dog. Yes, Red isn’t a nickname for the founder of the company; Red was just a dog. This canine companion probably had nothing to do with the workings of the company, but he probably did give lots of snuggles. We’re pretty sure Red was a good friend and a great cuddler, and that’s what really counts.

Anyway, today we’re checking out the Red’s Turkey Sausage Egg’which, which we’re 95% certain wasn’t created by a dog. We love us some breakfast sandwiches, and we’ve had some really good burritos from Red’s, so we’re excited to see how this breakfast sandwich tastes.

But first, we shall cook. Thankfully, this is super fast and easy to heat up. Simply wrap it in a damp paper towel, then pop it into the microwave for a minute, flip it over, and pop it back in for another minute. Easy peasy. (If you want to read the full cooking instructions straight off the package, scroll down to the bottom of this review.)

Now, we have to admit that we didn’t read the package carefully enough. Even though it very clearly states “Two egg patties with sausage & cheese,” we were a little surprised to find exactly that — a sausage patty wedged between two egg patties with some cheese on it.

The egg patties here are a stickier than you’d expect, say, an English muffin or flatbread to be, so you’ll probably want to have some napkins on hand. They’re also a little bit sponge-like in their consistency, but they’re not nearly as bad as that might sound. They do their intended job fairly well.

The bulk of flavor duty is handled by the turkey sausage. This stuff is actually excellent (we were tempted to say egg-cellent, but we restrained ourselves… until we didn’t). It’s rich with genuinely sausagey flavor, and it has just a little bit of kick to it. If we didn’t know this was turkey sausage already, we would have just assumed it was pork. This also has a great consistency; sometimes turkey sausage can end up a little bit rubbery, but this stuff survives the microwave really well.

And then you’ve got a melty layer of American cheese to tie the whole thing together. While we would have preferred a sharp cheddar here, the American cheese works well with the sausage, and it doesn’t taste as “cheap” as American cheese often does.

This sandwich contains just 190 calories and 640 mg of sodium. While it’s pretty small, it’s also surprisingly filling (due to the double-portion of egg patty). We doubt one sandwich will fill you up, but we’d also be hesitant to eat an entire second one unless we were really, really hungry.

The Red’s Turkey Sausage Egg’wich is a pretty decent breakfast sandwich. While it’s certainly not the best we’ve ever had, it does hit the spot if you’re craving egg and sausage early in the a.m.

Reviews for "Big Bite Baits Clash Frog in Tilapia Magic: A Deadly Combination"

1. John - 1/5 stars - I was really disappointed with the Big Bite Baits Clash Frog in Tilapia Magic color. First of all, the paint job on the bait was already chipped when I received it. The hooks also seemed to be of lower quality compared to other frog lures I've used.
Furthermore, the action of the frog in the water was not very realistic. It didn't create the necessary commotion or noise to attract bass. I tried fishing it in different conditions and locations, but I couldn't get any bites. Overall, this frog lure was a complete waste of my money.
2. Sarah - 2/5 stars - I have to admit, I was intrigued by the color combination of the Big Bite Baits Clash Frog in Tilapia Magic, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. The frog's legs were too stiff, and they didn't create the natural kicking motion that is essential for attracting bass.
Additionally, the weed guard on the frog was not robust enough to effectively navigate through vegetation. I constantly had to clean out the grass and moss that got stuck in the weed guard. The frog also had a tendency to flip over on its side when retrieving at a moderate speed. Overall, I would not recommend the Tilapia Magic Clash Frog as there are better options available in the market.
3. Mike - 2/5 stars - I bought the Big Bite Baits Clash Frog in Tilapia Magic color, hoping to catch some big bass, but unfortunately, it didn't deliver. The paint on the frog started chipping after just a few uses, making it look worn out and unappealing.
Moreover, the hooks on the frog were not sharp enough, and I missed several opportunities to hook fish because of this. The action of the frog in the water was also lackluster, and it didn't create the necessary vibrations to attract fish from a distance. Overall, I was not impressed with the performance of this frog lure and would not purchase it again.
