Hey guys, I purchased this effect a week ago and have played with it daily since. For those who don't know the effect you are able to spin a deck of Bicycle cards on your finger (deck in box), pretty much like a Basketball.
The video shows Greg Wilson spinning the box for a good 20 seconds.
You can also spin a single card & to be honest I can do this pretty well and get about 8 seconds of spin, spinning a single card with the gimmick is far easier than trying to spin the entire deck though!
Now you can call me cynical but I just can't see how Greg get's such a long spin from the deck on his finger, the friction/drag alone slows the whole thing down after a while & you can only start the spin at a certain speed so forcing a fast spin simply won't work as the deck simply falls to the floor.
Perhaps the gimmick that contacts his finger is a tad longer than those that we as Magicians are purchasing as this would enable less friction between finger and deck.
I can't get any longer than 8 seconds from the single card spin and that's giving it some force to set it off, as for the deck, well, I mange around 3 seconds if I'm lucky.
Before you all turn to me and say "Its all practice", yes, to some degree it is and there is some balance technique involved.
I also appreciate that Greg has been performing this for some time, however, I am unable to accept that he can maintain such a long spin (20 seconds) as Physics dictates that gravity and friction will inevitably bring it to a stop and you simply can't just use more force to start the spin. Even I get the deck to spin by continual practice I can guarantee that it wont run for 20 seconds. 10 at most is my guess.

Guess what, keep practicing. My longest spin is 18 sec. Just make sure the box is completely stuffed, no wiggle room, and perfectly balanced.

Gregory Wilson just lectured here and I was very amazed how long he can spin a single card. A very long time.
Of course he's done it thousands of time but still very impressive.

IMO spinning the deck for more than 10 seconds borders on watching paint dry. I can get somewhere between 15 and 20, but I never do it for that long in performance. Try experimenting with different areas of your finger. Closer to the tip is probably better than near the pad.

I have Revolution too but was wondering if you guys know the name of the version where you spin the actual deck of cards rather than the box?
