Discover oobleck, produce glue from milk, grow jiggly marbles, make snow from super-absorbent crystals, form a bouncy ball, create slime, expand super-absorbent gel crystals, melt fake snow, learn about polymers, and much, much more. I loved the books growing up, and we just found the Magic School Bus show after searching for science shows for kids, so as soon as I saw that there were Magic School Bus kits specifically for doing science at home, I was sold.

Learning science kits for the magic school bus The Magic School Bus Weather Lab from Young Scientists Club

Anyone who knows my daughter knows that science is a verb in our house. A few months ago, my daughter decided that she definitely wanted to be a scientist when she grew up…. or a ballerina. We ran with the scientist thing.

I never turn down an opportunity to spark my kids’ love of learning, and science with kids can be a fascinating thing that can carry them all through school. So, now we “science” all sorts of stuff each day, anything from basic weather phenomenon, things we find in nature, or concepts that can be hard to explain to kids without hands-on experiments.

Thank goodness there are kits designed specifically for teaching kids early science lessons, because I would be lost on how to start teaching science otherwise. I recently found the Magic School Bus line of science kits from Young Scientists Club and it was as if I had found the coolest toys on earth, according to my daughter.

I loved the books growing up, and we just found the Magic School Bus show after searching for science shows for kids, so as soon as I saw that there were Magic School Bus kits specifically for doing science at home, I was sold. And, then when I saw this kit, I fell in love:

Magic School Bus Weather Lab
Ms. Frizzle and her students help Young Scientists learn about the weather by spinning a pinwheel, making a tornado in a bottle, swirling a paper snake, recreating the water cycle, creating a rain cloud, using a sun dial, constructing a barometer, catching a rainbow, and learning about the greenhouse effect. With a weather chart is for tracking weather with colorful stickers, 28 colorful experiment cards, weather station, weather chart, stickers, and data notebook to record observations, your child will have everything they need to become a little meterologist.

With the changing of the seasons and the start of school, the weather lab has been perfect for my little scientists. They could tell you what direction the wind is blowing at any time, how much rain we’ve had this week , and are now working on creating their own rain cloud. Even though they are mostly just having fun and playing, we’re still working on the basics of science and I love that they are soaking it all up and learning at the same time.

After a few weeks of exploring the Magic School Bus Weather Lab, I am more impressed with it each time we “science” together. With both basic and advanced experiments and almost everything you need included in the kit, it is perfect for my little budding meteorologists.

Growing up, I remember being a bit intimidated by science as I would hear my older siblings struggle in physics and chemistry. But, had I already developed a love of science at a young age, I think I would have realized that even complex ideas can be broken down into easier concepts that all build upon each other and then would have felt more confident.

Who knows, I might have been some brilliant scientist, saving the world and collecting accolades had I viewed science as a fun adventure instead of something many struggled with. I guess I will have to pin my hopes on my own children and hope this love of science that we are fostering will take them amazing places.

The Magic School Bus Science Kits for Kids

With a Magic School Bus Science Kit, kids can have fun while learning about science or other STEM topics! See what’s included.

My kids l-o-v-e The Magic School Bus – both the old-school version and the new version on Netflix! I like that they’re learning without even realizing it as they watch the show.

One way to bring the learning off the screen and into your home is through The Magic School Bus Science Club. This is a 12-month subscription to science experiments delivered by Ms. Frizzle herself! It’s such a great way to get the kiddos excited about learning, and the monthly delivery is a great surprise to look forward to.

UPDATE: While the monthly science club is no longer available, you CAN buy the individual Magic School Bus Science Kits!

The Magic School Bus Science Kits Include:

  • The Magic School Bus Chemistry Lab
  • The Magic School Bus Microscope Lab
  • The Magic School Bus Engineering Lab

A subscription to The Magic School Bus Science Club is normally $240 ($20/month), but right now you can order the same kit through Educents for 50% off – just $119.99 ($10/month)! This kit gets great reviews.

Here’s the scoop:

Get a new Ms. Frizzle-approved science experiment delivered to your doorstep every month! Kids love learning STEM with everyone’s favorite 1990s television show.

Join The Magic School Bus Science Club and make science come alive! Developed by a team of Harvard graduates, scientists, and educators, the award-winning kits are delivered monthly right to your doorstep. Each kit includes a colorful manual based on the characters, as well as everything you need to complete at least seven experiments related to that month’s theme. Have your kids fasten their seat belts and go on the ride of their lives with Ms. Frizzle and her students on The Magic School Bus!

These kits are best suited for kids ages 5 – 12. Each kit contains a colorful 12-page manual that is full of experiments and information about the month’s topics, instructions for adults, materials necessary for a range of interactive experiments, and access to the online clubhouse for further exploration on each topic.

I like that the materials are included as it’s relatively easy to find projects to do (hello Pinterest!), but gathering the supplies for them is something I don’t always have time to do.

Right now you can order through Educents and choose when your child’s (or grandchild’s) first kit will arrive. Exciting stuff!

Reviews for "The Galaxy Angel Rune and its Connection to Celestial Beings"

1. Jane - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Galaxy Angel Rune". The storyline was confusing and didn't make much sense. The characters lacked depth and development, making it difficult to connect with any of them. The animation quality was also subpar, with choppy movements and uninspiring designs. Overall, I found it to be a lackluster and forgettable anime.
2. Mark - 1 star - "Galaxy Angel Rune" was a complete waste of time for me. The humor was over-the-top and juvenile, relying heavily on slapstick and silly gags that fell flat. The plot was repetitive and boring, following a predictable formula that offered no surprises. The animation was mediocre, and the voice acting felt forced. I expected much more from this series, but it failed to deliver in every aspect.
3. Sarah - 2 stars - I couldn't get into "Galaxy Angel Rune" at all. The characters were unlikable and one-dimensional, lacking any depth or growth. The jokes were repetitive and cringe-worthy, often relying on cheap humor that didn't land. The plot felt disjointed and convoluted, leaving me confused and uninterested. Overall, I found it to be a disappointingly underwhelming anime that I couldn't connect with.
4. Michael - 1 star - "Galaxy Angel Rune" was a huge disappointment for me. The animation was dated and lacked the fluidity and detail I expect from modern anime. The storyline was nonsensical, and the humor was forced and unsuccessful. None of the characters stood out or seemed interesting, and I found it difficult to care about their journey. Overall, I would not recommend this anime to anyone looking for a captivating and well-crafted series.
